TKR has not been able to get its act together so far. Having some of the best T20 players in the world available to play for it seems to have complicated matters instead of simplifying them. Kieron Pollard is batting too low and is perhaps past his best, Sunil Narine as an opener is not a surprise to opposition teams anymore, and the bowling lineup is a bit weak. 

TKR seems to be banking on past reputations rather than current players while picking its team. 

Tion Webster, Colin Munro, and even Andre Russell have not been at their best so far. The names on the roster are undoubtedly valuable but the performances do not justify the kind of premium that the bookmakers are charging for them. 

The bowling unit revolves around Sunil Narine, who has been his brilliant self with the ball, but the rest of the bowling is underwhelming. 

Barbados Royals

Barbados Royals continue to go from strength to strength and remain unbeaten in CPL 2022. Obed McCoy picked up three wickets and was supported by Kyle Mayers, Jason Holder, and the rest of the attack as the Royals restricted the Tallawahs to just 156. 

In response, Quinton de Kock and Corbin Bosch scored fifties to get the team close before David Miller provided the finishing blows. 

The fact that there are so many players for the Royals in prime form makes the team very dangerous. Kyle Mayers, David Miller, and Quinton de Kock with the bat are more dangerous than the big names we find in the TKR lineup. More importantly, the bowling lineup of the Royals also seems like a good match for the TKR batters.
