The Trinbago Knight Riders have laid down an early marker in CPL T20. They have won the two matches they have played and looked the most impressive team so far. TKR is now going to be playing against the Barbados Tridents, the defending champions of the Caribbean Premier League.
The Tridents also started their campaign with a win but lost to St. Lucia ZOuks in a rain-affected match.
Speaking of rain, the outlook is not very good for this day either and we could have another shortened game on our hands.
Can TKR make it three out of three or will the Barbados Tridents hand them their first defeat of CPL T20?
Trinbago Knight Riders vs Barbados Tridents CPL T20 is going to be played at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad on the 23rd of August 2020.
The Trinbago Knight Riders have looked very strong in CPL T20 so far. The star performer for them has been Sunil Narine, with bat and ball, but players like Ali Khan, Jayden Seales, and Colin Munro have been very good as well.
We think perhaps Lendl Simmons at the top of the order could maybe need to be replaced but apart from that the TKR lineup looks well settled. Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo, and Kieron Pollard have not really hit their stride and that makes the batting lineup very dangerous.
The slow and low conditions at the Brian Lara Stadium have not been to the liking of most big-hitters. It appears as if Sunil Narine is immune to this as he has reeled off his second consecutive fifty of CPL T20.
Narine has been ready to bide his time against the short ball and then waits to take full-toll of the spinners.
He and Colin Munro are going to be the most dangerous batters for TKR once more but there is plenty of depth in case they get out early.
Ali Khan has been brilliant for TKR during the powerplay overs and the death. If he and Jayden Seales can continue to be effective then the impact of Fawad Ahmed, Sunil Narine, and even Khary Pierre becomes much more.
TKR is not unbeatable but is looking like a cut above the other teams at the moment.

The Barbados Tridents were caught on the wrong foot by a better prepared team in their previous match. The St. Lucia Zouks worked the head to head’s very well against the Tridents and came away winners.
The Tridents will have to try to do the same thing against the Trinbago Knight Riders.
A look at the Tridents batting suggests that they have some dangerous players to look out for. Johnson Charles may not have got many runs in CPL T20 but he is a proven player and is always dangerous. Kyle Mayers was very impressive in the opening match of the tournament and is going to be one of the young players to watch out for in this edition of the tournament.
Shai Hope struggles in T20 cricket and his place at opening position is a bit dicey. Similarly, Jason Holder may be better coming in after Jonathan Carter rather than before him, although, Holder played very well against the Zouks.
Corey Anderson has looked out of touch and is returning after a long layoff. He seems to be a player trying to find his best form but has no idea how to do that.
The Tridents have a very decent bowling attack led by Rashid Khan. He is going to challenge the TKR batsmen for sure. Hayden Walsh, Jason Holder, Raymon Riefer, and Mitch Santner make this a very good spin bowling lineup that is going to hard to score off.

The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat second.

The weather forecast is not very good for this match. We are almost certainly going to have some delays and maybe a wet outfield. This is going to make conditions a bit difficult for the spinners and favour the faster bowlers.
Getting boundaries is also going to be tougher and so the overall expected total should come down.
Teams batting first will want to get at least 150 batting first.
Dream11 tips and Dream11 team for TKR vs BT CPL T20 2020
The Trinbago Knight Riders are going to be the favorites going into this match and rightly so. They have a stronger batting lineup and a very good bowling attack. Sticking with the favorites seems like the right move in this match.
Bet on The Trinbago Knight Riders to win ($1.64) (10Cric)
Our Favorite Bets
Kieron Pollard is dangerous against all kinds of bowling but particularly against the spinners. The presence of three quality spinners in the opposite could make Pollard give himself a promotion. The fact that has batted down the order so far is a risk that punters have to be willing to take.
This is a bet that we feel is an excellent one for the return being offered. Any player from any team can help you win this bet. The only condition is that the first wicket should fall through a catch. That could be a fielder or a wicketkeeper.
Again, this is a bet that we love and this is a relatively safe bet. The Barbados Tridents are a dangerous team but a six-hitting team they are not. The presence of Munro and Pollard in the TKR lineup makes this one of our favorite bets for this match.
