We are down to the final four matches in the Global T20 Canada competition, and the race to the playoffs is far from over. Things will become a lot clearer after tomorrow's fixture when the Brampton Wills will take on Toronto Nationals in the first match of the day. The game will be played at CAA Centre, Brampton in Ontario on Saturday, 3rd August. While Brampton Wolves are pretty safe as far as qualification for the playoffs is concerned, winning this match is imperative for Toronto Nationals to stay in the contention. Considering survival at stake, we expect the Toronto Nationals to give it they're all on Saturday. A cracking contest is undoubtedly on the cards.
Toronto Nationals have had a poor run in the tournament thus far and are consequently placed second from the bottom. They have won just one of the three matches played and have two points with a net run-rate of -0.314.
Just when the Nationals were looking down and out of the tournament, a remarkable performance from their batsmen not only revived their campaign but also got them into a decent position to qualify for the playoffs. Batting first, Toronto Nations rode high on splendid knocks from Rodrigo Thomas and Kieron Pollard.
However, despite a power-packed performance from their batsmen, they ended up as the second-best side on that day primarily because of poor performance from their bowlers. Barring Chris Green, they do not have anyone in their bowling attack with considerable experience in playing T20s, which is what hurt them the most. Unless they improve their bowling, things are going to be difficult for them in both of their two upcoming fixtures.
Brendon McCullum, Rodrigo Thomas, Moises Henriques, Y Singh, Heinrich Klaasen, Ravinderpal Singh, Mark Montfort, Jeremy Gordon, Salman Nazar, Sandeep Lamichhane, MJ Mcclenaghan.
Despite having played just three matches in the competition thus far, two less than the Hawks and the Tigers, the two teams placed at third and fourth place respectively, the Wolves still find themselves at the top of the table which is certainly a commendable effort.
The Wolves have been a force to deal with in the tournament so far. They've beaten all the top three teams in the tournament so far, besides themselves, and will be looking to finish at the top by registering a win in their upcoming fixture. Their dominance in the competition is evident by their terrific net run-rate of +3.853 along with three comprehensive wins to their name.
The likes of Lendl Simmons, George Munsey, and Colin Munro have been brutal at the top for them which is reflected well by the towering total they have posted in all of their matches. With the presence of all-rounders in Shahid Afridi, Rohan Mustafa, and Wahab Riaz, they have a batting line-up that bats deep keeping the varieties in bowling intact. As has been the case in all the matches they've played in the tournament so far, beating them is undoubtedly going to take a lot of effort once again.
LMP Simmons, George Munsey, Colin Munro, Nitish Kumar, B Hayat, SMSK Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Cecil Pervez, IS Sodhi, Abraash Khan, Newab Singh.

The two sides are coming off contrasting results in their last two matches and have different reasons to do well in the upcoming fixture. While the Wolves have been spectacular in the tournament, the Nationals have, by and large, struggled in the tournament. Considering the performances of the two sides and the two teams on paper, the Brampton Wolves are better placed to emerge on top in the upcoming encounter.
