TTN vs DOL Match Prediction & Betting Tips - Apr 12, 2019
Both the Titans and Dolphins have one win from their two matches so far and have started the CSA T20 challenge reasonably well. There is nothing too much to separate the two sides at the moment on the league table but it is just early days in the tournament.
Both teams are considered to be strong contenders for the title and this is why this early joust between them could indicative of things moving forward. The Dolphins are coming into this match on the back of a loss while the Titans registered a comprehensive win in their previous match.
We are sure that both teams are going to go hard at each other and make it a close encounter.
TTN vs DOL Team Previews
The Titans were up against a strong Cape Cobras side in the previous match but that did not intimidate them one bit. In fact, it brought the best out of the Titans. They bowled first and did pretty well to be able to keep the Cape Cobras down to 150 and then chased it down in just the 16th over. It was an exhibition of power batting that showcased their strength in the batting department.
Almost all the batsmen that came into bat scored runs. Henry Davids was the top-scorer for the side with 57 runs but it was Diego Rosier who provided the impetus during the end of the chase. Tony de Zorzi was the only player who got a start but did not really convert it into something a bit more substantive.
We like the touch that Theunis de Bruyn demonstrated and think he could easily be among the top-scorers in the upcoming match. He is a good batsman to back.
The incredible thing about this Titans lineup is that Farhaan Behardien has still not played any major role in the side. His batting position continues to remain too low and is not doing any favors to him with regard to the national team selection either.
The bowling was led by Gregory Mahlokwana and Shaun von Berg. They were the most economical bowlers of the lot and kept a tight lid on things during their entire spell.
The Titans are looking in good shape heading into this match and we don’t think we are likely to see any changes.

The Dolphins were found wanting in their previous match against the Lions. They were set a target of 160 but fell 18 runs short. The margin of victory may not seem much but in reality, there were never in the chase.
Continuous loss of wickets saw them fall down to 64 for 4 and then 83 for 7. Runs from Keshav Maharaj and Pranelan Subrayen helped reduce the margin of the loss.
Now, looking ahead to the upcoming match against the Titans, the Dolphins will need to improve their batting.
Morne van Wyk played a good inning to top-score with 44 but other senior batsmen like Cody Chetty, Sarel Erwee, Khaya Zondo, and Robbie Frylinck all failed to contribute.
The batting is pretty good on paper and we are pretty sure that the Dolphins will be able to put up a better show in the upcoming matches but the lack of form would definitely be worrying for the team.
The bowling performance by the Dolphins in the match was also pretty ordinary. None of the bowlers were able to take more than one wicket and even though a couple of them had a good economy rate, the overall performance of the unit was not impressive.
Keshav Maharaj is in the side and he can be one of the key performers for the Dolphins moving forward. Robbie Frylinck is another player who bowling is perfectly suited for T20 cricket. Both of them has experience of paying around the world and are well-suited to getting the better of the batsmen in the Titans lineup.

Pitch and Conditions
The CSA T20 Challenge match between the Titans and the Dolphins is going to be played at Wilowmoore Park, Benoni. The weather forecast for Benoni is not very good for match day. There is some rain expected in the morning before the match gets underway and another bout of showers could hit the area around the evening as well.
We could have a rain-curtailed game or maybe even a washout if the weather gods are against us.
The pitch at Benoni is pretty good for batting. It is a fairly balanced surface with a little something in it for every discipline. A score of around 150 can be considered par for the surface.
TTN vs DOL Betting Tips
We think the Titans are the favorites going into this match for justified reasons. They have a strong batting lineup that seems to be in form and a bowling attack that is capable of getting the better of the Dolphins as well.
Back the Titans to win.
