It’s going to be a straight shootout between the Knights and the Titans for the final semi-final place when they take on each other in their final Momentum ODI Cup 2020 group match. The two teams are separated by just one point and whatever happens in the other matches before or after theirs, there is only place for one them to make it to the semis.
The Knights have built up some good momentum in this last week of the tournament while the Titans are also finally living up to their promise. It is going to be a close match as the two teams have everything to play for and losing is not an option.
Titans vs Knights Momentum ODI Cup 2020 is going to be played at SuperSport Park, Centurion on the 15th of March 2020.
The Titans won their previous match against the Cape Cobras pretty easily in what was a rain-shortened encounter. An excellent bowling performance from Dayyaan Galiem who bowled two maidens in a 32 over game and from Imran Manack, who also gave away just 25 runs in his seven overs, ensured that the Titans did not have to chase too big a target.
The Titans lost Aiden Markram early and Tony de Zorzi also could not make the most of his start but Dean Elgar scored 61 not out to guide the side to victory.
The Titans have been batting very well in the entire tournament but its bowling was the constant let-down. This is why the fact that its bowlers are now stepping up will mean a lot for its confidence moving forward.
The Titans know they probably have the strongest batting lineup in this entire tournament. We certainly see them being better than the Knights in this regard. Now it appears as the Titans can rely a bit on their bowling as well.
Dean Elgar, Farhaan Behardien, Aiden Markram, Tony de Zorzi, Dayyaan Galiem, Theunis de Bruyn, Matthew Arnold, Rivaldo Moonsamy, Alfred Mothoa, Imran Manack, Khwezi Gumede.
The Knights had to watch with frustration as the rain prevented them from getting any cricket in the previous match. Those shared points have put the Knights in a must-win position against the Titans.
While the Knights have had a late resurgence in the standings, their fundamental weaknesses remain clear for everyone to see. The Knights have a much weaker batting lineup than the Titans. Players such as Jacques Snyman, Patrick Kruger, Keegan Petersen, and Pite van Biljon are al decent players but they are a cut below the international stars that the Titans have at their disposal.
The Knights must remember that the Titans bowling is vulnerable and they can be put under pressure through some intelligent attacking batting.
The Knights also don’t have a very strong bowling attack of their own. Shaun von Bergh is perhaps the best bowler of the side and will be supported by Marco Jensen, Mbulelo Budaza, Patrick Snyman, and Patrick Kruger.
This is a bowling attack that is steady on most days and very good on a few. It is not the kind of bowling attack that the Titans are going to fear in the least, though.
Keegan Petersen, Raynard van Tonder, AGS Gous, Grant Mokoena, Patrick Kruger, G Jacques Snyman, Wandile Makwetu, Shaun von Berg, Ottneil Baartman, Mbulelo Budaza, Marco Jansen.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first.

There has been rain around in Centurion but thankfully the weather is expected to clear by Sunday. That means we should be able to enjoy a full, uninterrupted contest between the Titans and the Knights. It would be a shame for the final semi-final spot to be decided by the weather so we should be thankful for the current forecast!
The pitch at SuperSport Park is going to be good for batting. It may be slower than it was for the earlier matches but it is still going to be loaded in favor of the batsmen. Plenty of runs and a high-scoring match seem likely.

Both the teams are in decent form coming into this match. They also have nothing to hold back for so the gloves are going to be off. Considering the batting strength of the Titans and the conditions they are likely to be playing in, we cannot help but think the Titans have a massive advantage.
The bowling for both the teams is average and unless one of the attacks has a horror night, they will cancel each other out.
Bet on the Titans to win.
