ECN Czech T10 Super Series is off to a flying start as most matches went right down to the wire in the opening weekend of the tournament. Group B promises to be another roller-coaster of a ride for the teams involved.
On the second day of the second week, we will witness two of the lesser-known teams take on each other. Vinohrady Biancos and Vinohrady Rossos are set to lock horns on Sunday, 21st June at the Velvery Cricket Ground in Prague. Both sides would have already played some cricket and this match could, therefore, carry significant importance. We expect the two sides to come hard at each other and a cracker of a contest is certainly on the cards.
Vnohrady Biancos play their first two matches against Prague CC Knights and Prague Spartans Vanguards on the opening day of the tournament. Although a lot could change over a day, their performance in the first two matches would give the exact estimate of their form and balance. Vinohrady Biancos are not known for their experience in the Czech domestic circuit, but they have a couple of power-packed players available at their disposal.
Their batting relies heavily on the likes of Vojtech Hasa and John Corness with others batting around them. Hasa has a reputation of being a big-hitter and his terrific T20 century, which came in just around 50 deliveries is evidence of his skills. Alex Sirisena and Michael Londesborough are the two other players to watch out for in the Vinohrady Biancos lineup.
Vinohrady Biancos have a few highly experienced players, but athleticism might be a cause of concern for them. Considering the format, each run will be of significant importance and fielding could be the differentiating factor between the two sides. On the bowling front, Trinity Moyo and Ben Soucek will shoulder the loads, but the absence of other specialist bowlers might hurt them in crunch situations.
Michael Londesborough, Lakshay Sharma, Karel Ziegler, Siddharth Sharma, Nirmal Kumar, Vojtech Hasa, Toby Haslam, Edward Entwistle, Alex Sirisena, Kapil Kumar, Benjamin Soucek.
Just like the Biancos, the Rossos too do not have any dearth of experience available at their disposal. Even though the competition and pressure won't be as much as there is in highest level of cricket, the experience could still come in handy.
The likes of Brigham Smith, Ed Knowles, and Kyle Gilham are all powerful hitters of the ball and could take the game away from opposition in a matter of minutes. Smith has scored over 500 runs in addition to more than 80 wickets. He will be a key figure for Rossos to do well. Alongside him, the all-round capabilities of Shoumyadeep Rakshit, Arshad Yousafzai, and Gyle Gilham are expected to play a vital role.
While their batting looks solid on paper, they seem to be a little light in the bowling department. They Paul Taylor as their only specialist bowler. While they shouldn't have any trouble in getting five bowlers to bowl two overs each, things can go awry if a couple of their all-rounders gets smashed for runs.
Ed Knowles, Shaun Dalton, Kyle Gilham, Thomas Sturmey, Arshad Yousafzai, Shoumyadeep Rakshit, Kamal Singh, Siddarth Goud, Venkatesh Margasahayem, Shubhranshu Chaudhary, Paul Taylor.
Chasing proved to be difficult for almost all the sides on Saturday as they found pacing their respective innings tricky. We do not expect it to change and, therefore, we expect the captain winning the toss to bat first.

Cool-weather and overcast conditions usually mean paradise for bowlers. However, as the surface on which the tournament is being played is artificial, the assistance for the bowlers is likely to be minimal. Outfield, however, is likely to be slow, if it rains in the morning. Considering the results of the first four matches, a score of over 80 should be challenging to chase and that is what the team batting first will be aiming for.
Check out the Dream11 fantasy team lineup for the ECN Czech Super Series T10 Group B match between Vinohrady Biancos and Vinohrday Rossos:
While both the sides have an array of talented players available at their disposal, adapting to the conditions and format will be the key. A lot will depend on how the two teams perform on the opening day of the tournament. With the presence of several all-rounders, the Rossos appears to be a better-balanced side, and are, therefore, our pick as the team to win the upcoming match on Sunday.
