About the Match
Masters Champions League is already into its final stages with last league games to be played tomorrow. Just a couple of days ago, after winning their last match on the final ball of the match, Virgo Super Kings are back into the race for the semis. They lock horns with Capricon Commanders, who are placed second from the bottom with just one win to their name. The match is set to be played at Sharjah Cricket Ground on 7th February 2016. It would be very important for both the teams to register a win here as a win would secure a semifinal berth whereas the team which loses this game will rest their fate in the hands of Leo Lions and Libra Legends who are set to play in the match right after this game. Considering the spot at semifinal is at stake, we expect a hard-fought and thrilling games once again in Masters Champions League.
Virgo Super Kings
James Foster played a match winning cameo in the last game as he smashed over a dozen runs in the last over of Fidel Edwards. Owing to that, Virgo have won two games out of their three and would be looking to seal a place in semis with a victory here. Chasing 146 against Leo Lions, the kings were made to struggle for runs as they succumbed to 55-3 in a little under 10 Overs.
Azhar Mahmood played a vital part in getting them to track while James Foster finished off the innings with a couple of scoops and a cheeky reverse-sweep to Fidel Edwards. Earlier, Murali Karthik bowled brilliantly to pick up three wickets and putting the Leo batsmen in the spot of bother.
With Kartik, Mahmood and Brett Lee, they have a wily bowling attack. Mahmood provides the power-factor to their batting as well which already has the likes of McKenzie, Shah and Greame Smith. This team looks fairly balanced and with the confidence they're in, it would be tough to beat them.
The Commanders cruised to victory in their last game against Libra Legends. In reply to the Legends' 152, the Commanders sealed the chase in just over 16 overs, scoring at around nine-and-a-half runs an over. Andrew Symonds and Paul Collingwood scored 62 runs each in 44 and 39 balls respectively. The enjoy the services of experienced Rory Kleinveldt and Abdul Razzaq ably supported by Ben Laughlin and Jeetan Patel as far as bowling department is concerned.
The Capricorns have lost only to Gemini Arabians who are looking unbeaten at the moment. They won against Sagittarius Strikers by defending a low total of 146 runs. The Commanders are in commanding position and a win will seal their spot in semifinal. Almost all the players have notched up a level and are looking in decent form. If the Commanders can keep their game up, like they've been doing so far, they'll surely present a tough challenge to Super Kings.
Its an important game and a win is imperative for both the sides to seal a spot in the semis. Virgo Super Kings clinched a win in their last game from a lost situation while the Commanders marched their way to victory. Both the team are looking evenly matched, but with Symonds, Collingwood and Razzaq looking in prime form and some other experienced guys in the hut, the Commanders look all set to win the upcoming game tomorrow.
