VB Kanchi Veerans
A very poor batting performance can be seen as the chief reason behind the failure of the V Kanchi Veerans this season. The best players of the team did not perform and the replacements did not too much better either. There have been only two fifties hit from the entire team in the tournament so far.
Where does this leave the team ahead of this match? Not in a good state.
There is very little motivation for the team to do well. This is one of those situations where players may benefit from individual performances but a win for their team is not going to matter. Players like Hariharan, Rokins, Vishal, and Baba Aparajith have obvious talent but without consistently being able to perform under the spotlight it counts for little.
It is hard to fault the bowlers for not being able to perform when the batting has failed so miserably. The bowlers in the Veerans side are not much worse than those in the other side but they did not have scoreboard pressure to help them do better at any stage of the tournament.
Aushik Srinivas and R Divakar have been the two standout bowlers for this side but neither of them is going to be keeping the opposition awake at night.
The VB Kanchi Veerans could be just making up the numbers and going through the motions at this stage.

Ruby Trichy Warriors
An underperforming batting lineup and inconsistency from the players are responsible for the Ruby Trichy Warriors being in the state that they are in. The team has some decent players and got off to a nice start in the tournament but failed to keep the momentum going.
SS Kumar has been the best batsman of this side but he too has only one fifty to his name. A lot was expected of Baba Indrajith and Bharath Shankar but they have had an average tournament at best.
The motivation for the Warriors to do well and win their match could not be more. Their fate is no longer in their own hands but they can at least put themselves in a position to hope for a miracle.
We think they are lucky to be coming up against a side like the Veerans at this stage of the tournament. The Veernas have struggled massively so far and could allow the Warriors to take advantage of the situation.
C Ganapathy has been the best bowler for the side with 9 wickets to his name. Sonu Yadav and K Vignesh have been pretty decent as well but they do tend to go for plenty of runs every now and then.
This is a match where the batsmen will decide the fate of the teams. The bowlers are uniformly average and have so far not produced performances which sway matches decisively.
