Legends League Cricket could not have gotten off to a better start as we saw a cracking contest to mark the beginning of the competition. Almost all the players looked pretty fit and committed to getting their side to a winning start. With some of the biggest names in World Cricket taking part in the competition, the tournament is certainly gaining some traction.
Up next in the tournament, India Majarajas are now set to take on World Giants in a bid to get their second win of the competition. It will be the first match for the Giants and they will want to open up the points table with a win here. Al Amerat Cricket Ground, Muscat, Oman.
This is the first match for the Giants in the tournament and they will certainly be fancying getting off to a winning start. A win for them will take them at par with the India Maharajas and that is exactly what they will be aiming for.
With the likes of Corey Anderson, Darren Sammy, Imran Tahir, and Morne Morkel, who all were playing competitive cricket till very recently, World Giants are expected to have a very fit side and that can be a big factor. A lot will depend on how their hard hitters in Corey Anderson and Kevin Petersen are able to deal with the Maharajas' bowlers.
Bowling-wise, this Giants' unit certainly looks pretty formidable. It would be interesting to see the pace the likes of Morne Morkel and Brett Lee are able to generate. Besides, Imran Tahir is still a regular in some of the leagues in World Cricket and can be a high-impact player in this upcoming match. The Giants might be a tad rusty to start and if they are able to take care of that, they will be a very difficult side to defeat.

Not many would have given India Maharajas good chances to win against Asia Lions, especially after their stalwarts did not appear in the playing eleven and certainly not so after they were three down for not many runs on the board while chasing a total of a tall order. However, they turned the match on its head against all odds as Yusuf Pathan and Mohammad Kaif combined to contribute with a match-winning fifty.
There were plenty of vulnerabilities shown by the Maharajas unit, but that was expected given the gap after which these players were taking the field. We expect these players to come out more prepared in this upcoming match given that they now have the old of conditions.
Once again from India Maharajas, the Pathan brothers will have to play a key role. Also, the top-order will need to do a better job in this upcoming match considering that the World Giants unit will likely be a stronger one. Having said that, if the Maharajas are able to repeat their performance, they will be a very difficult side to beat.
N Ojha, Stuart Binny, Wasim Jaffer, S Badrinath, Mohammad Kaif, YK Pathan, HK Badani, Venugopal Rao, RP Singh, Manpreet Gony, Munaf Patel.
Both sides have some terrific players available at their disposal and separating the two is a hard task. While World Giants have a better-balanced side, on paper, the Maharajas are coming off a massive win over the Lions and will be brimming with confidence. Also, we believe the experience of having played a game already can make a massive difference. Comparing the two sides on all accounts, betting on an India Maharajas win should be the way to go here.
