The first ODI between the West Indies and India was washed out with just 13 overs being possible. It did not tell us much about the two teams, although, it did give us some very clear indications as to the playing eleven that is likely for the next match. Unless there has been some injury, we don’t think there will be any change in the composition of the two teams.
The second ODI between West Indies and India is going to be played in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago where the weather forecast is much better. Hopefully, we will see a full 50 over contest play out.
West Indies vs Indis 2nd ODI 2019 is going to be played the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad on the 11th of August 2019.
The West Indies is winless in this series against India and with just two ODI’s remaining, this match becomes very important. The team that manages to win this match cannot lose the ODI series.
The team management decided to go into the 1st match with two fast bowlers, two fast-bowling all-rounders, and two spin-bowling all-rounders for the previous match. It was an interesting choice of players that seems to accept the fact that the West Indies bowling lineup is quite weak.
Having Carlos Brathwaite to bowl ten overs is a risky move and this is why Fabien Allen and Roston Chase may end up eating into his quota. Sheldon Cottrell and Kemar Roach are good bowlers who can pick up some early wickets and put the West Indies in a commanding position.
The batting is where the West Indies is going to win or lose this match. Chris Gayle was horrific in the previous match and made life difficult for the other players as well. Evin Lewis seemed to be in good form and that is a plus moving forward.
Shai Hope, Nicholas Pooran, and Shimron Hetmyer are the middle order for the West Indies and they are very talented. Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran have the perfect temperament for 50 over circket and they should do well.
The presence of Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Carlos Brathwaite, and Fabien Allen gives the West Indies an immensely long batting lineup. The home side can afford to go hard at the start of the inning and attack the Indian bowlers more.
The pitch at Port of Spain should be good for the West Indian batsmen.
Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope, Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Carlos Brathwaite, Kemar Roach, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas.
India decided to give Shreyas Iyer a chance to claim the number 4 position in this series and we are sure he is going to play all the remaining matches as well. It was an expected playing eleven that the Indians chose with the inclusion of Kuldeep Yadav the only surprise.
Yuzvendra Chahal has been the first choice spinner for India in recent times but maybe Virat Kohli wanted a spinner that can turn the ball into the right-handers as well.
Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Shami were exceptional in the first few overs not giving the West Indies batsmen anything to hit. Khaleel Ahmed was a bit too full and went for runs but he can hopefully make the necessary corrections in the upcoming match.
Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja are going to have a big role to play as the wicket-takers in the middle order. The lack of Hardik Pandya for this series means that India does not have too much power down the order. Rishab Pant and Kedar Jadhav are the two players that will have to take the responsibility of scoring runs down the order.
India is a very good side, in large part due to its fantastic top-3. Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and Virat Kohli are all giants of the ODI game and two of them are already recognized among the best batsmen to ever play this format of the game.
They are good enough to score runs on most days and the questions only start emerging when the top-3 are out early.
Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, V Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, RR Pant, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Khaleel Ahmed.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first

West Indies vs India 2nd ODI 2019 is going to be played at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad. The weather forecast for this match is much better than the first one. There are some showers expected in the afternoon but they should not cause any lasting damage.
We are quite confident of getting a full 50 over game.
The pitch at Port of Spain is a flat batting track that is a bit slow in nature and helps the spinners once the ball gets older. India is going to feel right at home playing on this surface.
Dream11 prediction for West Indies vs India 2nd ODI 2019 is going to be made assuming that more or less the same playing eleven for both teams are retained. Wicketkeeper: We have selected both the West Indian options from this category. Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran are genuine top-order players that are expected to score most of the runs for the West Indies.
Batsmen: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer are the three players we have selected. Including Evin Lewis was the other tempting option in place of Shreyas Iyer and we could make that change after the toss but these three are enough to cover 90% of the Indian batting runs that are likely to be scored!
All-rounders: Jason Holder and Roston Chase are a must-have in any Dream11 team. Holder will need to bowl most of his overs and bats at number 6 on most days. He is a much-improved batsman in recent times. Roston Chase also has a good record against India and will play a role in both batting and bowling. Ravindra Jadeja is the third player from this category as we start building towards the Indian bowling attack as well.
Bowlers: Mohammad Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, and Kemar Roach all tend to be expensive on their bad days but are superb wicket-takers on their good ones. We are willing to take that risk.
Captain and Vice-Captain: We have selected Rohit Sharma as the captain and Virat Kohli as the vice-captain of our Dream11 picks West indies vs India 2nd ODI 2019.

West Indies managed to draw its last ODI series against England and so it cannot be taken lightly. Their players are very well versed with the Indians and should be able to put up a good show. India, though, is a very consistent ODI side with one of the best bowling attacks in the world.
It is this bowling attack that gives it a big advantage apart from having a strong top-3 as well.
