The West Indies came into this tournament with a lot of expectations. There were many people that were calling the West Indies dark horses but things have not panned out that well.
A brilliant win against Pakistan is all that the West Indies have to show right now. One win from six matches is a fair reflection of the kind of cricket they have played.
Now, the West Indies are going to be facing up against India at Manchester, another tough task.
India is still unbeaten in the ICC World Cup 2019 although they came very close to losing to Afghanistan.
That match would have been a wake-up call for the Indian team who are serious title contenders. The absence of Shikhar Dhawan from the playing eleven has left a big gap and there are some other weaknesses that can be exploited as well.
While the result of this match may not be of great consequence, both teams would be keen to win this contest.
India vs West Indies ICC World Cup 2019 is going to be played at Old Trafford, Manchester on the 27th of June.
The return of Andre Russell to the ODI side for West Indies had the cricketing world excited for what he could do. His five-wicket haul against Pakistan was brilliant but unfortunately, his fitness is just not good enough for the 50 over game.
Russell did not play against New Zealand and is probably not going to play any further part in the ICC World Cup 2019.
The West Indian players are very familiar with the Indian players since so many of them play in the IPL. West Indies also had a pretty good ODI series against India earlier this year where Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope scored a lot of runs.
The West Indians also seem to do well against India, perhaps, because of the lure of an IPL contract.
We don’t have much hope from them in this match, though. The West Indian batting has depended on individual brilliance to carry them through instead of a deliberate plan.
The only win they registered was when they were chasing down a small total. Against the Indian batting, the West Indies bowling will hope to have their best day of the tournament so far.
Not only are the West Indies not used to playing 50 over cricket, but they are also one of the least fit sides in this edition of the World Cup.
Injuries to Andre Russell and Evin Lewis has weakened them considerably while the fielding standards of the others are not very good either.
The West Indies have a lot of players that are good for small cameos but they need a couple of match-winning knocks now.
Chris Gayle, SW Ambris, Shai Hope, Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Carlos Brathwaite, F Allen, Kemar Roach, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas.
Every team knew that India’s middle order is vulnerable and can be put under pressure but it was only Afghanistan that was able to do it.
India’s top order has been scoring runs against each and every opponent but early wickets against Afghanistan showed just how India can be beaten.
Vijay Shankar, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, and Hardik Pandya were required to play time and get the side to a good total but they could not.
Against the West Indies, India is going to be facing another weak bowling attack so the opportunity to fine-tune the batting order is still there.
Vijay Shankar did not bowl a single over against Afghanistan even when the situation was quite close. As a pure batsman, Rishab Pant probably offers a lot more. He also adds some hitting firepower the mix.
We think he is going to get an opportunity against the West Indies.
While India’s batting is still coming together, it’s bowling has been brilliant. Jasprit Bumrah gave a master class in end over bowling against Afghanistan while Mohammad Shami demonstrated the depth that India has.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have been bowing very well and are almost always able to pick wickets in the middle overs.
Hardik Pandya’s ability to bowl 10 overs has been a plus and Kedar Jadhav also provides the sixth bowling option if needed.
This Indian bowling lineup is going to be very difficult for the West Indian batsmen to be able to score against.
Lokesh Rahul, Rohit Sharma, V Kohli, V Shankar, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, YS Chahal, JJ Bumrah.
The team winning the toss is likely to want to bat first. The pitch starts to slow up a little and help the spinners so bowling second is definitely going to be an advantage.

India vs West Indies ICC World Cup 2019 is going to be played at Old Trafford, Manchester. The weather forecast for the match is quite good and we should not have any trouble getting a full match.
The pitch in Manchester is good for batting. It helped the spinners a little in the previous matches and we are sure that is going to be the case this time around also.
The big outfields are helpful for the spinners as well.
Dream11 team for India vs West Indies ICC World Cup 2019 is going to have the maximum possible Indians. The trick is going to be to get the right set of Indians in the side. We would prefer to have more bowlers if India is bowling first because the batsmen may not have enough to do. In case, India bats first, a more balanced mix is desirable. Injuries and possible team changes also need to be taken into consideration. Remember as always to follow us on twitter (@cricketbettings) for the latest updates to our Dream11 prediction for India vs West Indies ICC World Cup 2019.
Wicketkeeper: Shai Hope is the premier ODI batsman for the West Indies but his world cup campaign has been a bit disappointing. He had a good series against India not too long back and would be hoping to reprise that form again. We have picked Hope alongside Rishab Pant who we expect to play this game instead of Vijay Shankar. As India's number four batsman, Pant should have plenty of chances to prove his worth.
Batsmen: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Lokesh Rahul are easy picks for this match. India's batting is about its top-3 and they are all in good form. It is worth having these three relatively expensive players in the side because the likelihood of at least one of them scoring runs is very high.We have also selected Shimron Hetmyer in our Dream11 team for India vs West Indies. He played well against New Zealand and has a good record against India. He is also an aggressive batsman that can get plenty of Dream11 points because of ability to hit sixes.
All-rounders: Hardik Pandya and Carlos Brathwaite are the two all-rounders that we have in our Dream11 side for this match. Both of them can be expected to bowl a majority of their overs. They are also hard-hitters of the cricket ball and in good form currently.
Bowlers: Sheldon Cottrell, Yuzvebdra Chahal, and Kuldeep Yadav are three bowlers we like for this match. The spinners for India have been very effective at picking up wickets. They are going to be targetted by the West Indian big-hitters and that will provide opportunities to garner plenty of Dream11 points for us. Sheldon Cottrell has been the best West Indian bowler and so having him in the team is a straightforward choice as well.
Captain and Vice-Captain: We have picked Rohit Sharma as captain and Kuldeep Yadav as the vice-captain for this match.

The West Indies have struggled to have any real impact in the ICC World Cup 2019. They have managed to be competitive for small durations but have not been able to translate that into match-winning performances.
India is too strong for the West Indies and should be able to win this match comfortably.
Bet on India to win.
