West Indies vs South Africa T20 series 2021 is currently locked at 2-2 with the final match to be played. After a one-sided Test Series in which the West Indies failed to compete, it is great to see the two teams so closely matched.
Almost all of the matches played in this series have had a similar rhythm to them. The openers for both teams tend to start rapidly before the opposition bowlers pull them back and restrict them to par totals.
We have not really seen the best of either team so far and that is why this final contest is intriguing. The T20 World Cup 2021 is just a few months away and winning this series would probably mean more than winning the Test Series that preceded it.
There are plenty of great betting opportunities available for this match. Let us try and examine what may happen and how bettors can take advantage of it.
Match prediction and cricket betting tips for West Indies vs South Africa 5th T20 2021. The match is going to be played at St.George’s, Grenada on the 3rd of July 2021.
West Indies got out of jail in the previous match to be able to keep the series alive. We saw a fast start from Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis after which wickets kept falling at regular intervals. On this occasion, it was Kieron Pollard, quite possibly the best T20 batsman in the world, that was able to rescue his team.
He smashed five sixes, including three in a row against Kagiso Rabada, to end up 51 not out from 25 deliveries. Fabian Allen also continued to be very impressive batting at number 8 and contributing whenever he gets a chance.
West Indies hit 11 sixes in comparison to 4 from South Africa. The ‘Team to Hit More Sixes’ market has been very profitable to us this series and we are going to continue to bet on that.
Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetmyer, and Nicholas Pooran have not been in the runs and that middle-order is the biggest weakness for the West Indies. Andre Russell is contributing with both the bat and ball. Crucially, he seems to be fit enough to do this role consistently for the West Indies.
Fiddle Edwards got a chance to play as the West Indies continues to try and find its best bowling attack. Obed McCoy and Dwayne Bravo are excellent at the death, Kieron Pollard, Fabian Allen, and Andre Russell are also bowling regularly and so most bases are covered.
Fidel Edwards has not quite locked his place down and maybe Jason Holder could get another chance to play in this match.
Evin Lewis, LMP Simmons, Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo, Akeal Hosein, Obed McCoy, FH Edwards.
This series for South Africa has so far been Quinton de Kock and the spinners vs the West Indies. De Kock is the one man that has been able to take the attack to the West Indies with some consistency. None of the other batsmen have been able to score runs and that is a big concern.
Similarly, the spinners (George Line and Tabraiz Shamsi) have rescued South Africa in almost every match in this series. This is where we believe you can make some smart bets. We suggest picking George Linde and Tabrazi Shamsi to be the highest wicket-taker. You are hedging your bets but the chances of at least one of them winning are high and that will still leave you in a healthy amount of profit.
Rassie van der Dussen is the other batsman that you can somewhat depend on but he has seemed uncomfortable against the slower ball mix that he has been receiving from the West Indian bowlers.
South Africa needs David Miller to fire to provide the finishing boost and its fast-bowlers need to find their rhythm very quickly. Lungi Ngidi probably needs a break at this point in time and Kagiso Rabada has been quite expensive as well.
Anrich Nortje is the only fast-bowler to have made some impact on the West Indian batsmen.
South Africa is barely managing to stay with the West Indies and could fall behind very quickly if West Indies starts playing to its potential.
Quinton de Kock, Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram, RVD Dussen, David Miller, Wiaan Mulder, George Linde, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi, Bjorn Fortuin.
Three out of the four matches in this series have been won by the team that has batted first. Yet, captains continue to opt to chase when they win the toss. We don’t think winning the toss is a big advantage to be honest as the conditions remain the same. That being said, you just might see the winning captain opt to bat first in the 5th T20.

There is a bit of rain forecast in St.George’s on match day but it should clear up around the time that the match is expected to start. The conditions have been quite excellent for T20 cricket so far and that is not going to change. A flat wicket that is slightly slow in nature has meant that spinners are hard to score off but the batsmen can take advantage after getting their eye in.
The new ball is the best time to attack.
Scores of around 160-170 have been quite competitive but we feel 180 is not out of the question either.

We are going to back West Indies to win the 5th T20 international against South Africa. It has assembled a T20 dream team in terms of six-hitting power and its bowling is also improving with every match. It will take just one of the explosive guns in its lineup to go off and help it win this series.
Bet on West Indies to win.
There are just too many big-hitter in this match to pass up this opportunity. We saw 20 runs being hit in the first over of the match in the previous game! The odds for this bet are very attractive considering the likelihood of this happening. Highly recommended.
This is a bet that we like because we feel South Africa’s batting has been undervalued a bit. Yes, it does not have the same kind of six-hitting monsters like the West Indies but Quinton de Kock, David Miller, and Rassie van der Dussen can all hit a long ball. South Africa has no option but to come out swinging and six sixes in the entire inning are very possible.
