Not many teams have been able to challenge West Indies in West Indies and the way Sri Lanka played in the second match was commendable. They pushed the hosts on the backfoot before West Indies bounced back to salvage a draw. This tour wasn't fruitful for Sri Lanka up until that performance in the first Test, but a decent outing should have pumped the visitors.
The second Test of the series will be all to play for as the winner will take home the series. The match is set to be played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua, on 29th March 2021. Given the way this tour has panned out so far, it is going to be an exciting contest.
While West Indies did a satisfactory job in the first Test, they would want to improve massively going into the second one. Even though all four results were possible going into the fifth day of the match, West Indies were behind the eight-ball, to begin with. They did an excellent job with the ball and will be mighty pleased that they managed to salvage a draw in the first match of the series.
Having a tricky target to nail down, West Indies had a tough task at their hands on a day five surface. Their fans probably found a new hero to cheer for as Nkumrah Bonner grafted a terrific century the hold his side's innings together. West Indies eventually finished the day with four down for 236, saving the match with perfection. He was assisted well by the other batsmen and West Indies' batting would be worth watching out for in the upcoming contest.
West Indies were incredible with the ball on the first morning, but they lost that sting in the second innings. Their spinners had to bowl long spells on a surface that looked flat. We expect more assistance for the bowlers in the upcoming contest and West Indies' fortunes will depend heavily on their bowlers. The likes of Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel are excellent exponents of quick bowling whereas Holder can hold one end up. If the support bowlers are able to do their job in the upcoming match, Windies will be in for business big time.

This had been a poor tour for Sri Lanka thus far and even a draw would have brought about the smiles on their management and the players. Having said that, they'll be a tad disappointed as they had to stay content with a draw when a win looked well within their reach at the end of the fourth day of the match.
Getting all-out for 170 and then going onto drag the match is a big feat in itself. Sri Lanka managed to do a lot better than that as they once had their noses ahead and looked good to win the match. After arguably their best batting performance of the tour so far, Sri Lanka will be brimming with confidence. Also, it were their youngsters who impressed one and all as Sri Lanka came from behind to rack up a 476-run total.
With newfound confidence and a well-balanced team, Sri Lanka will certainly be a better side than they have been in the tournament so far. They will need support from their bowlers, who looked toothless in the last innings of the first match. Also, their spinners are a little too inexperienced and do not have the sharpness that the likes of Muralitharan or Herath used to have. For Sri Lanka to do well, it will be imperative for their bowlers to pick twenty wickets. If that happens, Windies will have their work cut out.
Dimuth Karunaratne, HDRL Thirimanne, Oshada Fernando, Dinesh Chandimal, Dhananjaya de Silva, Pathum Nissanka, Niroshan Dickwella, Suranga Lakmal, PVD Chameera, Lasith Embuldeniya, MVT Fernando.
Before the players of the two sides head back to India to play IPL or back to home, they all would want to have a badge of a Test win up their sleeve. The honors were shared in the first match, leaving this match as the one with all to play for. Both sides have some fabulous young talent available, but we believe the experience will be the key in the upcoming encounter. West Indies have good experience of playing at home and did pretty well in their recent away tour. For that reason, placing your money on a Windies' win should be the way to go here in the second Test between West Indies and Sri Lanka.
