We are down to the last match of the series in which it's been only one-way traffic so far. West Indies women have consistently failed even to put up a fight against the Australian women, let alone winning the match. The most recent game of the series saw Aussie women win the game by nine wickets, which is just at par with the results we are now familiar with. West Indies women, on the other hand, have utterly disappointed their home crowd and will be looking for a consolation win when the two teams face for the last and final time on this tour. The third T20I match of the series is to be played at Barbados on 18th September.
West Indies registered their fifth loss of this tour just a day ago, and they now have nowhere to go but up from here. In the tournament up until now, West Indies have done nothing, and the poor running between wickets was just icing on the cake in their previous encounter.
Batting first on an absolutely flat deck, West Indies arguably had one of their better starts on this tour. Britney Cooper and Kyshona Knight added 30-runs for the first wicket, but that happened to be the best partnership of the match. After the fall of their first wicket, they were soon reduced to 59 for six and were eventually entirely dismantled for 97.
All in all, West Indies have played extremely poorly in the tournament so far, and none of their players barring Stephanie Taylor has stepped up. They need a miracle to thump Australian unit in the next match, which will also be the last of this tour. Given how the things have gone in the series so far, this seems improbable but is certainly not impossible.
Stafanie Taylor, Anisa Mohammed, Afy Fletcher, Karishma Ramharack, Britney Cooper, Kyshona Knight, Natasha McLean, Reniece Boyce, Shabika Gajnabi, Sheneta Grimmond, Stacy-Ann King.
There's hardly have step the Aussies have put wrong in the tournament so far. They have won each other their match by a convincing margin, be it while batting first or otherwise.
In the last match as well, their bowling worked wonders as they restricted the West Indies to a total of just 97 runs. Even though none of their bowlers was outstanding, their bowling as a whole unit was exceptional. Jess Jonassen, who returned with the impressive figures of 2 for 19, was the pick of their bowlers.
With the kind of their batting unit had been in, the chase never looked in any sort of doubt. It didn't prove to be any different as well as Alyssa Healy continued to build on her superb form and smashed yet another half-century as Australia cruised to the target and won the match with nine wickets in hand and more than five overs to spare.
Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Rachael Haynes, Meg Lanning, Erin Burns, Jess Jonassen, Delissa Kimmince, Georgia Wareham, Megan Schutt, Tayla Vlaeminck.

It's been one-way traffic in the series so far, and we have seen almost nothing going for the home team. The hosts have failed miserably in all departments of the game and have shown absolutely no improvement up until now. Australians, on the other hand, have played ruthless cricket and are, therefore, our pick to emerge on top in the final fixture of the series.
