West Indies Women have been taking rapid sides in International Cricket but their recent series against the Kiwis has been pretty disappointing. They were dismal in the ODI leg of the tour and continued that trend in the T20I series as well.
They will have one last chance to keep the series alive as they take on New Zealand Women in the third ODI of the series. New Zealand Women have already won one and will be looking to gain the lead once again in the series here. West Indies Women, on the other hand, will want to get some things going their way.
The match between the two sides is to be played on 2nd October 2022 at the Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.
West Indies Women have plenty of players who are adept at playing the format. They have, however, not done as well when playing for West Indies. They did a semi-decent job in the first match and scored a win. If they can do that again, West Indies Women will be well in business.
They have been pretty inconsistent up until now and will be looking to get some wins under their belt as we move into the deciding end of the series. They are coming off a brutal loss wherein they lost a match despite being in it at the very end.
On paper, West Indies Women have a well-balanced side with a number of match-winners available at their disposal. They have not played to their potential thus far, be it with the bat or with the ball, and will need to get that right. If they are able to play to their potential here, getting past them could be a difficult task, especially with the home advantage that they have.

New Zealand Women may not have been playing with their full-strength side but they have still done an exceedingly good job in the series up until now. They were far ahead in the ODI series and have just managed to win one match in the T20I series.
They were pretty fluent in the last match as well as they defeated the hosts by a wide margin of six wickets. Chasing a total of 107, their batters did pretty well as they overhauled the total with just a ball to spare. It came down five required from four deliveries before Down and Plimmer closed the deal. Suzie Bates and Jensen were the star performers for the hosts in this match.
All in all, New Zealand Women have a pretty good side and they will be gutted with the loss they faced in the first match. While they did manage to get back into the tournament with a win in the second match, they would know that they still haven't been at their best. They would want to play to their potential here and if they can do that, getting past them could prove to be a really difficult task.

While the ODI series was dominated completely by the Kiwis, it's been an even contest in the shortest version of the game so far. While New Zealand Women have more experience available, the Windies Women have plenty of match-winners and the home advantage. Having said all that, New Zealand Women look slightly ahead on the whole. Considering that and the other factors stated above, we would be placing our bets on a New Zealand Women win.
