Its a fight for the top spot in the North Group of the T20 Blast 2019 as Worcestershire takes on Lancashire. Both teams have played eleven matches each and won six out of them although Lancashire has lost just one of its matches thanks to rain intervening in some others.
Lancashire is the current leader of the North Group with Worcestershire on second. If Lancashire loses this match then Worcestershire will take over the lead and almost guarantee itself a place in the knockouts.
Moeen Ali’s return to the game has been wildly successful and he will be watched with a keen interest in this match as well.
Worcestershire vs Lancashire T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at New Road, Worcester on the 25th of August 2019.
Moeen Ali had taken a much-publicized break from the game after being dropped from the Ashes squad and that seems to have done him a world of good. He top-scored with 85 not out off just 46 deliveries in an inning that included six hits over the boundary as well.
It was great to see Moeen Ali back to his best and playing with complete freedom.
He makes a strong Worcestershire batting order even more dangerous. Rikki Wessels also made 65 not out but was almost forgotten in the Moeen Ali show. Martin Guptill, Hamish Rutherford, Wayne Parnell, Ben Cox, Ross Whiteley, and Ed Barnard make the Worcestershire batting lineup absurdly strong.
They can afford to play aggressively from the first ball without worrying about wickets too much.
The bowling lineup of Patrick Brown, Dillon Pennington, Daryl Mitchell, Moeen Ali, and Wayne Parnell is going to be tested against the strong Lancashire batting but there is enough experience and talent in there to not get overly flustered.
Riki Wessels, Hamish Rutherford, Moeen Ali, WD Parnell, Ben Cox, Tom Fell, Ed Barnard, Daryl Mitchell, Dillon Pennington, Patrick Brown, Ross Whiteley.
The best side in the T20 Blast 2019 in terms of consistency has been Lancashire. They are genuine title contenders and will be looking forward to playing against the defending champions in a high-pressure match.
Lancashire is no less balanced or stacked in terms of talent than Worcestershire.
The batting line-up has players like Liam Livingstone, Alex Davies, Dane Vilas, Keaton Jennings, Steven Croft, and some good all-rounders to follow. The form of Livingstone and Davies, in particular, has been fantastic. We think the pair of them is going to have to score runs in this match against Worcestershire.
Dane Vilas is very important in the middle order but his batting position does not give him an opportunity to set the agenda as the openers can.
James Faulkner, Saqib Mahmood, Matthew Parkinson, and Richard Gleeson with some overs from Liam Livingstone thrown in as well make a very fine bowling attack. This is an attack that has international quality and experience alongside some of England’s best young bowlers in it.
They have the potential to be able to stop a murderous Worcestershire batting lineup.
Alex Davies, Liam Livingstone, Steven Croft, KK Jennings, Glenn Maxwell, DJ Vilas, James Faulkner, Josh Bohannon, Saqib Mahmood, Richard Gleeson, Matt Parkinson.

Worcestershire vs Lancashire T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at New Road, Worcester on the 25th of August 2019. The weather is expected to be very kind on match day and we should not have any interruptions in this clash between behemoths.
The pitch at Grace Road is going to be a batting belter and allow the batsmen from both sides to showcase their skills. A score of around 180 should be considered par in this contest.
There is very little to choose between these two sides and we could see them playing against each other in the playoffs as well. For this match though we are favoring Worcestershire because of the momentum that Moeen Ali’s return has provided them.
Bet on Worcestershire to win.
