WPR vs TIT Toss Prediction

It is a fact the teams batting first do well at the Newlands cricket ground. So, the team winning the toss will be looking to bat first at this venue and set a stiff target for the team batting second to chase.

Read our guide on toss predictions to learn how we analyze and come up with our tips.

Pitch and Conditions

Newlands cricket ground offers one of the few wickets in South Africa that help the spinners a bit. Although the batters will find it easier to play their strokes in the first innings, these spinners are likely to get some turn from the track as the match gets on. The faster bowlers will not find too much help from the track however, like most of the South African pitches, Newlands also does offer good pace and bounce. If the side batting first scores more than 260 runs at this venue the chase will be difficult for the side batting second.

The temperatures during this game in Cape Town, are likely to remain close to 25 degrees. We are expecting mostly cloudy conditions with a lot of relative humidity. These conditions may help the quicker bowlers although they are unlikely to find much help from the wicket. We are also likely to get some heavy morning thunderstorms during the game. There is almost an 80% chance of getting thunderstorms during the game with a cloud cover. A relative humidity of close to 75% is expected during the game.<br />

WPR vs TIT Betting Tips

Both these teams are doing an excellent job in the competition so far. They have kicked off their campaign in the competition on a positive note. Western Province is leading the points table while Titans are lying in the 3rd position. But we will go with the Titans to win this game. They have lost one match in the competition unlike the Western Province side who are on a roll with 3 wins in a row but they have more players that are likely to exploit the conditions at the Newlands better. Nothing much in it though. Either team can come out trumps easily in this game.

This is a 50-overs-a-side game and the team starting their innings usually makes a steady start as there is a lot of time at hand. But still, the top-order batsmen from these two teams are in good nick and you can bet on them to score more than 4 runs in the first over.
