Runs, runs, and more runs have been the story for Western Storm so far. Their batting unit is stacked and it seems one or two of them always seem to come to the party. In the previous match against a tough Southern Vipers side, Western Storm reached a total of 170 with all four of their batters to get a chance contributing.
Heather Knight top-scored with 61 while Fran Wilson remained not out on 50.
With every single player in good form, Western Storm is capable of scoring more runs consistently than any other team it comes across.
Freya Davis starred with the ball as she picked up four wickets while Anya Shrubsole took three and Claire Nicholls took two.

Surrey
Two wins from five completed matches is not a good enough result for the Surrey Stars that have some pretty decent players in their midst. Unlike their opponents in this match, though, the Surrey Stars have not been able to get their players to play at their potential.
Lizelle Lee, Sarah Taylor, Dane van Niekerk, Marizanne Kapp, and Natali Sciver are all very good players. To have them in one batting lineup is a good achievement and the Surrey Stars should really be winning more matches than they are.
Currently, this loaded batting line-up is not firing.
The lack of runs is putting the pressure on the bowling attack as well. They either don’t have enough runs to defend or being expected to bowl the opposition out for a below-par score every single time. That is just not going to happen.
The onus is on the batters to find a way to be more consistent. We think Sarah Taylor and Natalie Sciver are the two batters to be able to cause an upset in this match but it will take something really special to be able to do so.

The pitch at Taunton is very good for batting. The ball comes on to the bat nicely and the outfield is very fast as well. We think a high-scoring match is likely.
