Yorkshire and Derbyshire have had a very forgettable T20 Blast 2019 so far. Derbyshire has won just two matches out of its seven so far while Yorkshire has won just one out of its eight. Surprisingly, it is Derbyshire that is at the bottom of the North Group Standings at the moment while Yorkshire sits at 6th place.
The difference has been the rained out matches, three of which have given points to Yorkshire while only one just rained out game for Derbyshire. The weather forecast for Leeds is pretty good for this match and so hopefully we will get to watch a full game.
Yorkshire vs Derbyshire T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at Headingly, Leeds, on the 11th of August 2019.
A fantastic tied game against Birmingham was the last completed match for Yorkshire. Its most recent game was rained out and we are sure it is going to be keen to get on the park once again. Yorkshire has a good side on paper and its performance in the T20 Blast 2019 so far has been a major disappointment.
The batting has some excellent players like Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Adam Lyth, Gary Ballance, David Willey, and the bowling unit is pretty well stacked as well.
A combination of poor tactics and some bad luck has prevented Yorkshire from winning a couple of matches. One of the things about Yorkshire that we find very strange is its reluctance to let the batsmen bat in their regular positions. The use of pinch hitters and shuffling the order in every match cannot be good for the batsmen.
Yorkshire has struggled to get runs consistently from a very talented order and that is something to be looked at.
Tim Bresnan, David Willey, Duanne Olivier, Dominic Bess, and Jack Shutt were the bowlers that played for Yorkshire in the previous game. There is plenty of top-level experience and current international players in this lineup to be able to perform under pressure.
Derbyshire’s batting is not the strongest and Yorkshire’s bowlers must be backing themselves in this contest.
Adam Lyth, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, David Willey, Jack Leaning, Jonathan Tattersall, TT Bresnan, Jordan Thompson, Dominic Bess, K Maharaj, Duanne Olivier, Jack Shutt.
Derbyshire has had a lot of problems in the T20 Blast as well. Its bowling has been quite poor and only a couple of very good individual performances have helped it win its two matches. Ravi Rampaul was tasked with leading the bowling for Derbyshire this season but he has not been able to perform to the desired level so far.
Boyd Rankin and Logan van Beek are the other leading bowlers in the side, neither of which are going to be putting too much of fear in the opposition.
Wayne Madsen and Billy Godleman are going to be crucial for Derbyshire’s fortunes. It would not be entirely unfair to say that if these two don’t get runs then Derbyshire does not have any chance of winning.
Luis Reece has [layed a few good innings as well but there is very little to follow after the top-3. Not a single batsman for Derbyshire is in the kind of form that we can bank on and that is a huge concern going to Headingly.
Luis Reece, BA Godleman, WL Madsen, A Leus du Plooy, MJJ Critchley, AL Hughes, D Smit, Fynn Hudson, Logan van Beek, Ravi Rampaul, WB Rankin.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first

Yorkshire vs Derbyshire T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at Headingly, Leeds. The weather forecast for Leeds is quite good for match day and we should be able to see a full game be played out without any interruptions.
The pitch at Headingly is going to be good for batting. The overhead conditions are also predicted to favor the batsmen so we think a high-scoring game is likely.
Yorkshire has a good team but it has shot itself in the foot on a couple of occasions. We are hopeful to see them just take their time and do the obvious things rather than trying out fancy batting order changes. That should be enough to let Yorkshire win.
Bet on Yorkshire to win.
