The opening match of both the teams playing this next T20 Blast 2020 match was rained out. Yorkshire and Derbyshire would be hoping that the weather takes a breather and allows them to finally get on the field.
Yorkshire could not make it to the Finals day in 2019 and suffered a lot through the rain as well. In fact, no team had as many rained out matches as Yorkshire did. Derbyshire, on the other hand, made it to the Finals day for the very first time and will want to continue its rise in T20 cricket.
This could be a very exciting match to watch indeed thanks to some brilliant T20 players on both sides.
Yorkshire vs Derbyshire T20 Blast 2020 is going to be played at Headingley, Leeds on the 30th of August 2020.
Joe Root is expected to be available for this match and that is great news for the Yorkshire. Plenty of other potential team-members are not going to be available as the T20 series against Pakistan is going on. Jonny Bairstow, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, and David Willey are four of the biggest names to be missing out.
Yorkshire’s batting is pretty strong all things considered. They have power at the top with Adam Lyth and Tom Kohler-Cadmore while Joe Root is going to provide the steel in the middle.
Gary Balance is not available for selection just yet and so Harry Brook could get a promotion in the batting order as well. With a strike rate nearing 150, Harry Brook is capable of finding the boundaries on a regular basis.
The bowling is going to be led by Duanne Olivier, a genuine fast-bowler capable of getting quick wickets in T20 cricket. He can be a bit expensive as well but that is something to be expected. Jack Shutt and Jordan Thompson are the other bowlers that will play a front-line role.
Adam Lyth, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, JE Root, Harry Brook, Will Fraine, Jonathan Tattersall, Jordan Thompson, Matthew Fisher, George Hill, MW Pillans, Josh Poysden.
Derbyshire had the unwanted distinction of being the only county team to have never reached Finals Day in the T20 Blast. That was until last year and now that monkey is off the back. We think Derbyshire is going to come out blazing against Yorkshire and try to attain some of that same form that they had last season.
The core of the team is still the same.
The batting is going to be led by Billy Godleman, Wayne Madsen, Luis Reece, and Leus de Plooy. Obviously, Godelman and Maden are the two main wickets that every opponent is going to be after. There are a lot of goof batsmen in this team and they have all been successful in T20 cricket recently. That is a good sign.
The bowling has some good variety and depth as well. Luis Reece, Michael Cohen, Ed Barnes, Matt Critchley, and Alex Hughes are all good T20 bowlers that are going to test the Yorkshire batting lineup.
Derbyshire is going to enter this match as the favorite in our opinion.
Billy Godleman, Luis Reece, Wayne Madsen, Leus du Plooy, Matt Critchley, Fynn Hudson Prentice, AL Hughes, Matt McKiernan, Brooke Guest, Michael Cohen, Sam Conners.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat second. Chasing on this ground should be seen as a big advantage.

The weather forecast for this match is much better. There is a very low percentage of rain falling and so we should be able to get a full match. The pitch at Headingley is going to assist the seamers for the first few overs but then is very good for batting.
Scores of around 170-180 are chased down with regularity.
Dream11 tips and Dream11 team for Yorkshire vs Derbyshire
Yorkshire is playing at home and also has Joe Roor available for selection. These are big advantages but the loss of as many as four world-class T20 players to the national setup is difficult to recover from. We think Derbyshire is the more underrate team in this contest but one that will come out the winner.
Bet on Derbyshire to win.
