Yorkshire vs Lancashire is one of the oldest rivalries in country cricket and this match in the Vitality T20 Blast is going to attract a lot of attention as well. The Roses game, as this match is also called, was one of the most exciting matches in the previous season and with both teams coming off of a win, we could have another close contest this time around as well.
The weather forecast for Leeds is not very good and we could have some rain later in the day. Hopefully, it does not affect the duration of the match.
Yorkshire vs Lancashire Vitality T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at Headingly, Leeds, on the 25th of July 2019.
Yorkshire finally managed to get its batting order right and use its resources in a better manner. The result was a total in excess of 250 as the entire Yorkshire top-order came to the party. Adam Lyth made 69 off 35 balls, Tom Kohler-Cadmore scored 96 not out from 54 balls, and Nicholas Pooran scored 67 from just 28 balls.
A total of 19 sixes were hit the Yorkshire inning and that basically ended the game right there.
Yorkshire still had plenty of batting in the hut to count upon if needed and that should be scary to its opponents. Gary Ballance, David Willey, and Jordan Thompson are some of the players that can also score runs at a quick rate if needed.
The bowling was not very good in the previous match. Dominic Bess, Duanne Olivier, and Matthew Pillans went for nearly 50 runs each in their four overs. Thankfully, David Willey and Jordan Thompson bowled very well to keep a check on the scoring and keep the Lancashire batsmen to just about 200 runs in total.
We were surprised to see Tim Bresnan bowl only one over in the entire match. Maybe he has some sort of injury that he not talking about or maybe he just was not feeling a 100% fit on the day.
Either way, Yorkshire’s Vitality T20 Blast 2019 is off to a good start and it will carry a lot of confidence in the match against Lancashire.
Adam Lyth, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, David Willey, Harry Brook, Nicholas Pooran, GS Ballance, Jordan Thompson, Dominic Bess, MW Pillans, Duanne Olivier, Jack Shutt.
Lancashire mixed up its batting lineup in the previous match and demoted Keaton Jennings from the opening slot. It is not a move that we like because it essentially ends a role for Jennings to play in the later overs.
Still, Alex Davies, Steven Croft, and Glenn Maxwell are a formidable top-3 for any T20 team. Croft remained 65 not out while Maxwell made a belligerent 58 in the previous match as well. That is a good sign for Lancashire. “its batting lineup is pretty strong but it will need to be at its best against Yorkshire.
Someone like Maxwell will want to continue his good form and hopefully get another big score under his name.
The real difference between the two teams could be the bowling. This is where Lancashire is going to be a bit better than Yorkshire.
James Faulkner, Matthew Parkinson, Richard Gleeson, Toby Lester, and a mix of other bowlers are going to be hard for the Yorkshire batsmen to overcome. If the Lancashire bowlers are able to get some early wickets then Yorkshire may not be able to press home its batting advantage.
Alex Davies, Liam Livingstone, KK Jennings, Glenn Maxwell, DJ Vilas, Steven Croft, Josh Bohannon, James Faulkner, Richard Gleeson, Matt Parkinson, Saqib Mahmood.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bowl first especially since there is some rain around. DLS calculations always tend to favor the team batting second and so winning the toss could be a big advantage.

Yorkshire vs Lancashire Vitality T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at Headingly, Leeds. The weather on match day is going to be mixed. There is some rain forecast around the time that the match starts and that could cause a delay in the proceedings.
The pitch at Leeds is good for batting and we will get plenty of runs if the match is able to be played without rain affecting conditions. A score of around 180 should be considered par for the surface.
Drean11 team for Yorkshire vs Lancashire is based around the strong batting options available in this match. We just hope the rain does not play spoilsport and reduces the number we have available for the match because that will play havoc with our Dream11 team.
Wicketkeeper: We have picked Nicholas Pooran and Dane Vilas from this category. Both of these players are frontline batsmen for their respective sides and will be expected to make a massive contribution while batting.
Batsmen: Adam Lyth, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, and Alex Davies are the three batsmen that make it into our Dream11 side for Yorkshire vs Lancashire. They are all in excellent form and bat near the top of the order. In the case of Tom Kohler-Cadmore, he is coming off of a brilliant inning where he scored 96 not out. Hopefully, he can continue his good run and be beneficial for our Dream11 team.
All-rounders: Glenn Maxwell, David Willey, and Steven Croft are three all-rounders we have picked. Maxwell and Croft scored runs in the previous match and bowled a couple of overs as well. David Willey was one of the most economical bowlers in his previous match and we all know how devastating his hitting can be.
Bowlers: Dominic Bess, Richard Gleeson, and Mathew Pillans make up the remainder of our Dream11 team. All of these three bowlers are available for a good price and are in relatively decent form.
Captain and Vice-Captain: We have picked Glenn Maxwell as the captain and Nicholas Pooran as the vice-captain of our Dream11 picks Yorkshire vs Lancashire Vitality T20 Blast 2019.
We think these are two evenly matched sides with Yorkshire having the slightly stronger batting and Lancashire having the better bowling attack. On a pitch that is good for batting and with home advantage at its back, Yorkshire has a good chance of coming out victorious.
Bet on Yorkshire to win.
