There is only pride at stake when Yorkshire and Northamptonshire play against each other in the T20 Blast 2019. Both sides have two matches left but no hope of making it to the T20 Blast 2019 playoffs. They can, however, both try to win these matches and avoid finishing dead last in the North group standings.
Considering the fact that the future of the T20 Blast is unclear as England transitions to the ‘hundred’, neither side wants to be as the side that finished last in the final T20 Blast competition.
Yorkshire vs Northamptonshire T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at Headingly, Leeds, on the 29th of August 2019.
Adam Lyth became the unlikely hero for Yorkshire in the previous match as he took five wickets and help restrict Nottinghamshire to just 148. Unfortunately, that was not a total that Yorkshire was able to defend and eventually ended up losing by three runs.
Nothing has gone right for Yorkshire this season and that is why they just have two wins from eight completed matches this season.
Their bowling has been poor and the batting has depended too much on Adam Kyth and Tom Kohler-Cadmore. David Willey has been one of the biggest disappointments for Yorkshire this season. His bowling has been ordinary with a few good spells thrown in while his batting has been bewildering.
He keeps on being promoted up the order only to throw away his wicket and ends up causing the other batsmen to bat out of position as well.
It just does not make sense to us.
Yorkshire has a few players that are individually capable of winning it matches but as of now, nothing seems to be working and the team may just want to forget this season ever happened.
Adam Lyth, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, David Willey, Harry Brook, Jonathan Tattersall, Jack Leaning, Will Fraine, TT Bresnan, Jordan Thompson, K Maharaj, Jack Shutt.
The story for Northamptonshire has not been too much better than Yorkshire this season. Three wins from nine completed matches is a fair reflection of the kind of cricket that Northamptonshire has played.
The side did not have too many big names, to begin with and gambled on adding two international all-rounders to cover up some of the faults. That did not work out as Dwayne Pretorius and Faheem Ashraf provided a bit of cover in all departments but not enough to actually win matches.
The batting for Northamptonshire has been very inconsistent. Richard Levi, Adam Rossington, Josh Cobb, and Alex Wakeley have not been able to get the runs their side has needed.
The bowling is pretty ordinary with Ben Sanderson, Faheem Ashraf, and Dwayne Pretorius leading the attack. We think this side has a good chance of upsetting Yorkshire in this match, though.
Northamptonshire has won its previous match where some of the batsmen managed to get some runs. If they can do the same again then the bowling may be able to hold its own against an out of form Yorkshire side.
Richard Levi, Adam Rossington, Josh Cobb, Dwaine Pretorius, Alex Wakely, Rob Keogh, Faheem Ashraf, Tom Sole, Graeme White, Nathan Buck, Blessing Muzarabani.

Yorkshire vs Northamptonshire T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at Headingly, Leeds, on the 29th of August 2019. The weather forecast for Leeds is excellent and we should be greeted with sunny skies at the time of the start of the match.
The pitch at Headingly has been very good for batting and the same can be expected for this match as well.
We think Yorkshire has completely lost the plot this season and it seems to have given up on trying. Northamptonshire could get a win here thanks to the presence of two international all-rounders that give it a better balance than Yorkshire.
Bet on Northamptonshire to win.
