Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe has been compressed a little and as a result, the team is going to play back-to-back T20 matches. The first match was an easy victory for Bangladesh that was missing a few senior players. Zimbabwe had its moments in the match but in the end, it fell way short f challenging the visitors.
Will anything change in the second match? We think with such a short turnaround, there is an excellent chance to use the information from the first match to make some smart betting choices.
Match prediction and cricket betting tips for Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 2nd T20 2021. The match is going to be played at the Harare Sports Club, Harare on the 23rd of July 2021.
Zimbabwe got off to a good start but it squandered it in the middle overs. From 91 for 2 in under ten overs, the team went to 119 for 6 in 14.1 overs. That was a collapse of a serious magnitude and prevented it from posting a defendable total.
Madhevere, Chakabva, and Myers played well but none of them converted their start into a fifty. It was unfortunate for Zimbabwe that Ryan Burl and Sikandar Raza could not take advantage of the platform that had been laid down for them.
Zimbabwe’s batting is inconsistent and not very dependable. It can have some good days or days as we saw in the first match. It did manage to hit four sixes without any of the major batters getting going and that indicates that the Total Sixes Zimbabwe betting market could be one to explore.
None of the bowlers were able to pick up a single wicket as run-outs were the only way that Bangladesh lost its wickets. Blessing Muarabani was the most economical bowler and he continued his impressive run in T20 cricket. We think he could be an excellent option to be the top wicket-taker for Zimbabwe in this match.
Zimbabwe may have lost the first match but it showed some fight and it cannot be counted out completely.
Wesley Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Regis Chakabva, Dion Myers, Sikandar Raza, Milton Shumba, Ryan Burl, Luke Jongwe, Wellington Masakadza, Tendai Chatara, Blessing Muzarabani.
Bangladesh recovered quite nicely after a poor start with the ball. It picked up wickets during the middle overs and then never let go of control of the match. Mustafizur Rahman is easily the best T20 bowler for Bangladesh and he started with three wickets in the opening match.
Saifuddin, Shoriful, and Shakib also bowled quite well but some of the part-timers ended up being expensive. Bangladesh is such a better-balanced team when Shakib is in the team and his overs helped cover for some underperformers once more.
Overall, we think Bangladesh would have been very pleased with the bowling performance in the first match. If anything, expect the spinners to come in a bit earlier in this next one.
Mohammad Naim and Soumya Sarkar played brilliantly to ensure that there was no question of any batting collapse or struggle down the order. Both of them scored fifties with Naim staying not out till the very end.
There were three sixes hit in total and that is a fair reflection of the Bangladesh batting style. They are not real big six-hitters and we would always be conservative when betting on the Most Sixes/Total Sixes market for Bangladesh.
The depth in the batting gives Bangladesh a big advantage and now that the openers are in good form, the lineup looks far stronger than Zimbabwe’s.
Naeem Sheikh, Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Afif Hossain, Nurul Hasan, Shamim Patwari, Mahedi Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. The pitch remains the same for the duration of the match and so being able to bat with the target in mind is a definite advantage.

There is no rain predicted in Harare for match day. The pitch has been excellent for batting this series but we could see a slightly slower surface for this match. This is the second match in succession and there has already been a lot of cricket played at the venue, we could see a bit more spin and some grip in the surface.
The scores could be slightly lower and something around 160 could be quite competitive.
We are going to be betting on Bangladesh in this match as well. They have a stronger batting lineup and their spinners could be a lot more effective on a worn surface, as this match is going to be played on. The form of its senior players like Mustafizur and Shakib also gives it a huge edge going into this match.
Bet on Bangladesh to win.
