ZIM vs NAM Match Prediction & Betting Tips - Oct 13, 2022
Zimbabwe lost its previous T20 World Cup warm-up match to Sri Lanka and would like to get at least one win under its belt before playing Round 1. Up against it is Namibia, who was quite impressive in its win against Ireland. While Zimbabwe is the favorite at all the best cricket betting sites, there is enough evidence to suggest that Namibia will trip up a couple of opponents in this edition of the T20 World Cup.
A close match between two closely matched opponents seems to be on the cards.
ZIM vs NAM Team Previews
Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe used eleven different bowlers in its previous warm-up match against Sri Lanka. That should give you an idea of the kind of approach teams take going into these matches. The aim is to win and build some momentum but it is also important to try out players, combinations, and just get a feel of the conditions.
One of the things that Zimbabwe could try is to give those of its batters a go that have not had too much time in the middle so far. Sikandar Raza and Sean WIlliams, two senior Zimbabwe batters, will want to get some runs under their belts. With Ryan Burl, Craig Ervine, and Wesley Madhevere in the lineup, Zimbabwe has enough batting to be able to get a good score in most games.
The bowling lineup is weak and can be taken advantage of. Blessing Muzarabani is the only bowler that has some pace but apart from that, it is medium pacers and spinners that do not pose too many difficult questions.

Namibia
It would have been very encouraging for Namibia to have won without David Wiese getting to bat at all. He is easily their best batter and someone who can come in and change the game with his big hits. To win a match and still have someone like Wiese unused is a good sign.
Van Lingen, Erasmus, Frylinck, and Smit all scored runs. One of them would have liked to carry on but the intent to score quickly was certainly there.
The bowlers also did quite well to restrict the Ireland batters. Trumplemann, Smit, Wiese, and Frylinck all bowled superbly. Finding consistency is going to be a challenge for Namibia but we do not think they should be written off in this match.

ZIM vs NAM Toss Prediction
The team that wins the toss could opt to field first. This is, however, a warm-up game and teams can sometimes opt to the opposite of what they would have normally done just to test themselves.

Pitch and Conditions
Quite a lot of rain is forecast in Melbourne on match day. We could have a shortened match or even a complete washout if we are not lucky. The pitch at the Junction Oval is generally flat with some help in it for the spinners. A par score can be difficult to judge in a warm-up match but something around 150 should definitely be on the cards.
ZIM vs NAM Betting Tips
We are going to back Namibia in this contest. We like the odds being offered and we think they could pull off another upset. Zimbabwe's bowling is a massive concern as its collection of slow bowlers is unlikely to be too effective in Australia.
