ZIM vs NL Match Prediction - Nov 02, 2022

Zimbabwe has won many hearts in the T20 World Cup 2022 edition and will now be hoping to sign off with another win. Zimbabwe still has a chance of qualifying for the semi-finals but for that, it needs to beat India in its final match. No reason why it cannot happen but that is still an unlikely possibility.

The Netherlands has also done well to progress to the Super-12 Stage but they have been found out after that. They still a lot of work to be done to truly be able to compete against the bigger teams consistently. This match against Zimbabwe would have been one that the Netherlands targeted as a potential victory.

Match prediction and cricket betting tips for Zimbabwe vs Netherlands T20 World Cup 2022. The match will be played at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide on the 2nd of November 2022.

ZIM vs NL Team Previews

Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe came within one shot of beating Bangladesh and continues its never say die attitude. While Sikandar Raza was unable to conjure up one of his brilliant performances, Sean Williams stood up and nearly carried the team home. There are a couple of things that are well-established at this stage.

Zimbabwe's bowling attack is quite dangerous in Australian conditions. Richard Ngarava and Blessing Muzarabani are capable of hustling up the batters while players like Brad Evans can bowl the hard lengths as well. The issue comes with stability in the batting lineup.

Craig Ervine, Sean WIlliams, and Sikandar Raza are the three batters that can get the runs needed for Zimbabwe to compete. Neither one of them is really likely to get massive totals either but if one of them gets in, a par total can be achieved.

Zimbabwe Playing 11

Wesley Madhevere, Craig Ervine, Milton Shumba, Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza, Regis Chakabva, Ryan Burl, Tendai Chatara, Luke Jongwe, Richard Ngarava, Blessing Muzarabani.

Netherlands

The Netherlands were roughed up by Pakistan in their previous match. The Super 12 stages have exposed their weaknesses quite brutally. The Netherlands struggled to get past the UAE, were a bit fortunate against Scotland, and have since never come close to beating another team.

We don't see much hope for them in this match against Zimbabwe either.

Max'O Dowd and Bas de Leede are the only two really decent players they have in the batting lineup. The injury to de Leede does not seem to be as bad as was expected and so he will probably play as well. Despite this pair being the best in the Netherlands team at the moment, they are only about average by international standards.

The Netherlands batting lineup is weak and will struggle to chase a par total as well.

Fred Klaassen is impressive as a bowler but he also does not have the kind of support needed.

Netherlands Playing 11

Stephan Myburgh, Max O'Dowd, Logan van Beek, Tom Cooper, Colin Ackermann, Scott Edwards, RE Van Der Merwe, Bas de Leede, Fred Klaassen, Paul Van Meekeren, Brandon Glover.

Pitch and Conditions

There is no rain predicted in Adelaide on match day, however, there was a lot of rain (and hail) on the day before. This could mean that there is some help for the bowlers and the outfield may be a bit slow. Overall, though, the Adelaide Oval is an excellent batting surface where the short square boundaries can be targeted.

ZIM vs NL Betting Tips

We are going to back Zimbabwe to win this match. A narrow loss against Bangladesh would not have dented the confidence of Zimbabwe too much. They still have a chance of making it to the semis and have everything to play for. Their superior bowling attack and an experienced trio of batters in the middle should help them get over the line.

Bet on Zimbabwe to win.
