The Zimbabwean top-order batting is in the hands of batters such as Innocent Kaia and Tadiwanashe Marumani. The Zimbabwean outfit has an established middle order with batters such as Gary Ballance, skipper Craig Ervine, and Ryan burl in it. There are some good bowlers on the team such as Tendai Chatara, Wellington Masakadza, Richard Ngarava, and Blessing Muzarabani. Some good all-rounders are playing in the team such as the batting all-rounder Sikandar Raza, Bandon Mavuta, and Brad Evans.

Zimbabwe won the second game of the series to level it. But the game went right down the wire with the Netherlands making a big fight of it. Batting first Zimbabwe scored 271 runs all out from 49.2 overs. The Zimbabwe openers provided a solid start to their effort by scoring 61 runs for the first wicket. The skipper Craig Ervine scored 39 runs from 42 balls while his opening partner Wesley Madhevere scored 43 runs from 50 balls with 6 fours. Ervine also hit 5 fours during his inning.

However, the real impetus to the Zimbabwe inning was provided by Sean Williams. He scored a rapid 77 from 73 balls with 11 fours to take the Zim total to a respectable one. He was well supported by the wicketkeeper-batsman Clive Madande who continued his good form with the bat scoring a fifty. Madande scored 52 runs from 57 balls with 5 fours. The bowling honors during the Netherlands innings were shared by Sikandar Raza and Wesley Madhevere who picked up 3 wickets each. Both of them bowled pretty economically as well.  

Netherlands

The Netherlands' batting top order will be in the hands of the likes of Max O'Dowd, Vikramjit Singh, and Musa Ahmed. The Dutch middle order will be in the hands of Tom Cooper, Colin Ackermann, and the skipper Scott Edwards. The Netherlands bowling attack will be in the hands of Brandon Glover, Vivian Kingma, Ryan Klein, Shariz Ahmad, Vivian Kingma, and Paul van Meekeren. There are some good all-rounders on the team such as Roelof van der Merwe, Colin Ackermann, and the batting all-rounder Bas de Leede.

The Netherlands came within the striking distance of the Zimbabwe score in the first match. They fell short by a single run in the end. Zimbabwe set a decent target of 271 runs to win for the Netherlands team. During the Zimbabwe inning, the most successful bowler for the Netherlands was Shariz Ahmad who picked up 5 wickets for 43 runs from his quota of 10 overs. Some other bowlers helped him in his efforts such as Paul van Meekeren and Colin Ackermann. They picked up a couple of wickets each although Paul van Meekeren was a tad expensive.

The Netherlands innings started brilliantly. Although they lost the opening batter Vikramjit Singh early, there was a big partnership for the second wicket between Max O'Dowd and Tom cooper that took the Netherlands innings within a striking distance. O'Dowd scored 81 runs from 103 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Tom Cooper scored 74 runs from 84 balls with 9 fours. But after these two were dismissed, Madhevere took a superb hattrick to restrict the Netherlands charge and achieve a win for Zimbabwe in the end by a wafer-thin margin of 1 run.
