Trustworthiness
Helabet is an established bookmaker with a large customer base around the world. This betting site in India generally receives favourable reviews, which is a good sign. We have seen a number of positive reviews from customers, though you have the usual number of disgruntled reviews from unhappy chaps as well. This is not unusual, and we found nothing suspicious about Helabet.
Of course, we do prefer if a betting site has European gambling licenses as they are on the safer and more trustworthy side or things with much better customer support. But since Helabet is well-established, we can judge them on their own merit and don’t see significant issues here.
Beyond licensing, Helabet is a secure platform for you to bet on, employing all the security measure that we want to see in a betting site. This includes a solid KYC process and abiding by anti-money laundering regulations. These are outlined on their homepage as well, so you can read up for further details.
And sufficient player protection is in place as well, giving you the option to self-exclude and learn more about problematic gambling behaviour if you find that you are losing control of your betting at any point.
Cricket betting and other sports
When you login to Helabet from India, you’ll find cricket as one of the top sports featured in the list on the left-hand side. And we can tell you that their cricket betting is exhaustive. You get tons of upcoming cricket events to bet on, all the current live events as well as some outright betting options on long-term events that are still some time away in the future.
On the list of upcoming cricket events to bet on we found the following:

And that’s not the end of it. From what we could see, just about all cricket events currently going on anywhere in the world are featured here. At least, those that hold some importance on the national level for a given cricket nation. Certainly, all international events were available for betting.
As is often the case, bigger events offer more markets and sometimes better odds, but even for smaller events you will find a satisfying selection of betting options, which is great to see.
Live betting is excellent, opening up plenty more markets, though live streaming is not available at Helabet, which is just about the one downside we could find.
Beyond cricket betting, there are tons of other sports to bet on at Helabet. We were particularly happy to see that kabaddi betting was also available, limited as it may be as a niche sport. Furthermore, apart from the top 10 sports, we counted over 50 more sports and events to bet on.
At the time of our review, the Beijing Olympics were underway and there were plenty of betting opportunities for all the events available as well.
Helabet brings us one of the most comprehensive sportsbooks we have seen in a long time and just about any punter will find their favourite sport to bet on here with competitive odds on top of that.
Virtual sports and eSports are also available, of course, which really leaves nothing to be desired.
Games and more
Helabet includes a full-service gambling offer with a casino, live casino, bingo, lotto and poker rooms.
You will find a massive selection of slots here from dozens of providers. Some of our favourites are Microgaming, Push Gaming, Pragmatic Play, Thunderkick, Playson, Habanero, Big Time Gaming and a few others. Many of the studios whose games you will find here are smaller, though, and there are a few we have never heard of.
The casino is sorted into slots and casino games, which you can filter according to provider, jackpot games, Drops&Wins, and the various table games such as roulette, blackjack, baccarat or other options.
Since jackpot games are available, we checked them out and didn’t really recognise any of the games here. They are not the big progressive jackpots we know from Microgaming or other developers. Instead, they seem to be smaller local jackpot games, where you may be able to win decent sums, but not massive windfalls of cash.
The live casino is also well-equipped, offering games from Evolution Gaming and Ezugi, which means you get a favourite range of live dealer games, including Andar Bahar and Teen Patti.
It’s nice to see when bingo, lotto and poker get their own sections, though poker is somewhat hidden under ‘More’.
Overall, the online casino at Helabet has much to offer, though we were disappointed to see that there are no games from NetEnt, Play’n GO or Yggdrasil.
Promotions and bonuses
Helabet appears to offer two welcome bonuses, one for sports and one for the casino. The sports bonus offers up to INR 8,000, giving you 100% in bonus cash for your own deposit. The minimum deposit amount to receive this offer is only INR 80.
The bonus money must be wagered 5x on accumulator bets of at least 3 selections with a minimum odds of 1.4 or higher. Once the wagering requirements have been met, the bonus money and winnings from it can be withdrawn. You will not be able to make a withdrawal prior to meeting these requirements.
The casino bonus is also a deposit bonus, but here you get up to INR 130,000 and the minimum deposit to claim this bonus is INR 800. On top of that, 150 free spins are available, which are specific for certain games and can only be claimed after the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th deposit, respectively.
In fact, the maximum deposit of INR 130,000 is available across the first four deposits, each with a different percentage and a different minimum and maximum deposit amount and possible bonus amount.

Our main gripe with this otherwise solid offer is the wagering requirement of 35x the bonus mount in only 7 days. That’s not sufficiently long and puts a lot of pressure on you if you do wish to withdraw the bonus funds or winnings from it.
Beyond that, Helabet offers a variety of other bonuses and promotions, including VIP cashback offers, daily bonuses, accumulator of the day promotions, a bonus for a series of losing bets, the big Pragmatic Play Drops&Wins promotion and at times seasonal Helabet IPL offers too!

Banking options
Helabet has a separate page for banking, where you can get all the details you typically need about deposits and withdrawals.
You will be able to sort the available methods according to the country you are in, though the system automatically recognises the IP address and your location, which means it will be pre-set to India.
Available banking methods include:

Transaction fees (usually none) and transaction times are listed as well, which is great.
Whilst IMPS is not available for deposits, it is available for withdrawals, which is a little strange, but should be convenient for some.
Helabet doesn’t list withdrawal limits beyond those imposed by the financial service you are using, which means there are likely none imposed. If you are unsure, you can always contact the customer service team.
Beyond that, there is the already mentioned KYC process that you will need to go through eventually. We usually recommend that you do so sooner rather than later.
Support
Whilst plenty of information is available on the homepage via various links for further reading, the FAQ section is currently under construction. We are not sure whether there was one in the past of this is newly implemented and simply not ready. It could also just be an overhaul of an old version of the FAQs. We are looking forward to checking it out when it is done.
Still, there is no lack of information about many topics regardless, but you don’t want to keep reading up on yourself, you can always contact the customer service team, which is available via live chat and email. They are ready to answer your questions around the clock, every day of the week.
Software
The design of the Helabet homepage is more on the classic side of things. We have top main menu that gives you easy access to all the sections of the site. The sportsbook also has a classic layout, with the list of sports on the left-hand side, current live betting options in the centre and the bet slip on the right-hand side.
Whilst navigation is easy and generally intuitive, the sportsbook can feel a little cluttered. Once you find your bearings, you should be fine, but at first it might be a little bit much, especially for newbies.
Also, not everyone is going to like the colour scheme. We get various shades of a rather bright purple colour here, which is memorable, but not exactly classy. You make of that what you will.
The sportsbook is fully mobile compatible, and you will be pleased to hear that a Helabet App for Android and iOS users are also available for download directly from the official websites homepage.
Summary
Helabet surprised us a little. Given that we hadn’t really heard about them before, they have an excellent sportsbook and some of the most comprehensive cricket betting we have ever seen. It is a cricket betting fan’s dream come true. So many events to bet on, a great variety of markets and solid live betting even though there is no live streaming. The odds are also comprehensive and then there are the dozens of other sports you can bet on, including kabaddi.
We can wholeheartedly recommend the sportsbook at Helabet, though the casino does not leave us with the same enthusiasm. The live casino is great and getting other gambling options such as bingo and lotto is fun.
But we are missing quite a few of our favourite slot developers and the jackpot games here are barely worth you money or time. Still, some games and providers we do like are present here and if you care more about sports betting anyway, then you won’t be bothered.
