Shaheen Shah Afridi and Jack Brooks picked up two wickets apiece as the Notts did a fine restriction job over Lancashire. None of the Lancashire batsmen could reach a fifty. The Notts' batting order saw a solid contribution from Joe Clarke right at the top of the order. He smashed 42 from 24 balls with 2 sixes and 6 fours.

Almost all the batsmen from Nottinghamshire contributed to the team score as they inched close to the target. Tom Moores who is the wicketkeeper-batsman for Notts scored a useful not-out 26 from 18 balls with 5 fours to carry the Notts across the line with balls to spare. Liam Livingstone and Jack Blatherwick were the two bowlers from Lancashire that looked like troubling the batters. They both picked up 2 wickets apiece giving away 24 and 21 runs from their 4 overs. Tom Hartley picked up the one remaining wicket that was dislodged.

Worcestershire

The Worcestershire team is in terrific form this year in the Vitality T20 Blast competition. Even though they ended up losing the last game by a margin of 11 runs, they had put a fighting total of 178 runs on the board. There were useful contributions from Ben Cox and the skipper Brett D'Oliveira that made it possible to reach this decent total. But as it turned out, this total was nowhere close to being sufficient in the overall picture of the game. The Worcestershire bowling attack could not trigger a collapse or keep things quiet either.

Just 4 wickets fell during the opposition's inning. Adam Finch bowled a terrific spell picking up 1 wicket while conceding just 22 runs from 4 overs. Worcestershire will have to look into their bowling attack as it needs more discipline to keep the team on winning ways. The key players for this game are Ben Cox, Brett D'Oliveira, and Adam Finch. In this last match played at Worcester, the Worcestershire team put together 178 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. 

However, Northamptonshire chased down the score in 19.4 overs for the loss of 4 wickets.<br /> Although Worcestershire lost an early wicket while setting a target against Northamptonshire, there was a brief partnership between Brett D'Oliveira and Jack Haynes that steadied the ship somewhat. The skipper D'Oliveira scored 38 runs from 28 balls with 5 fours. Mitchell Santner also made a decent contribution to the total by scoring 33 runs from 21 balls with 4 fours and 1 six. Ben Cox who is the wicketkeeper batsman scored 46 runs from 29 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. This unbeaten inning allowed Northants to reach a decent score.
