ADS vs BH Match Prediction & Betting Tips - Jan 14, 2023
The Strikers’ poor effort against the Stars resulted in an embarrassing loss to Melbourne by 9 wickets, after Adelaide scored only 108 runs. The Strikers are still in a good place in third with 10 points, and they’ll face the bottom-placed Heat, who are looking in shambles with five points.

Adelaide Strikers
It was strange to see the Strikers make such a low score in a BBL match, and perhaps even odder to witness their best batters fall apart at the hands of the Stars bowlers. Lynn (1), Short (20), Hose (21), and Gibson (10) were little help and it’s very unlike the Adelaide team to bat this badly.
Whatever water was in the Strikers’ locker room also affected the bowlers, as there was not a single wicket taken by any pacer or spinner on the team. The only wicket was a Joe Clarke runout from Adelaide’s Gibson.
Even Henry Thornton, who is lightning-quick and has 16 wickets for the season (not forgetting his 5/3 against the Thunder) was terrible during his three overs by going 0/25.

Alex Carey, Chris Lynn, Adam Hose, Travis Head, Matt Short, Colin de Grandhomme, Benjamin Manenti, Peter Siddle, Wes Agar, Cameron Boyce, Harry Conway.
Brisbane Heat
While it’s true that the Heat are pretty awful right now and last on the ladder with one win in their last five matches, you have to believe things will improve.
For one, the team has a bevvy of top talent back in the squad after their time with Australia, including Khawaja (captain), Labuschagne, and Renshaw. These are three of the best batters in the country right now, so if they can’t help their side get a win, maybe no one can. This trio didn’t assist much against the Scorchers in the loss, but it’s Perth we’re talking about here.
In terms of bowling, pacer Michael Neser needs to have a bigger impact, as he hasn’t taken a wicket in his last two matches and only has 10 overall. Plus, Mark Steketee seems to be in and out of the lineup, so Neser needs to be a bigger threat.

ADS vs BH Toss Prediction
Batting first is fairly common on this pitch, so the Heat should choose this option if winning the toss.

Pitch and Conditions
We always seem to witness big-scoring matches at the Adelaide Oval, and with great players like Lynn and Labuschagne, we’re likely to get one. It’s common to see scores of around 170, but pacers and spinners can also get lucky with the swing in the pitch.
ADS vs BH Betting Tips
A few days ago, you’d be hesitant to bet against the Strikers, but after their crushing loss to the Stars, now it’s not so black and white. This will be Chris Lynn’s last game in the BBL and it’s against his former team, so that could be a defining factor to choose the Strikers.
However, the odds are far better for the Heat and with such great batting talent from Khawaja, Labuschagne, and Renshaw on the roster, it’s certainly worth having a try on Brisbane when this Adelaide team looks shaky.
The two teams match up well against each other historically, so the Heat should come out fiery and remove themselves from the bottom of the ladder with a huge win over Adelaide.
Bet on Brisbane to win.
Bonus Cricket Bets
Hopefully he goes out with a bang for his last BBL game.
Great for Australia and still working his way into T20 form.
He should recover from a terrible bowling effort in his last match.
Neser is probably better overall but Swepson is solid at times and the odds are too good to ignore.
