Barbados Royals
The Barbados Royals demolished the Guyana Amazon Warriors in Qualifier 1 thanks to brilliance from Rakheem Cornwall and Azam Khan. Both the players really showed off their power game and helped the Royals reach a target that was never really challenged.
We do think the Barbados Royals batters will be tested more against the Tallawahs because the quality of bowlers is so much better. Apart from Rakheem Cornwall and Azam Khan, Kyle Mayers is the other dangerous batter in the lineup. Najibullah, Holder, and Tector can all certainly play but they have not been in the greatest of form in recent matches.
The bowling lineup will revolve around Mujeeb ur Rahman. The Royals can use him in the powerplay or at the death (which they do while defending). Simmonds has also impressed, Mayers has picked up wickets regularly, and Cornwall can bowl a couple of overs of spin as well.
We still have not talked about Hayden Walsh and Obed McCoy, two international West Indian players that are capable of picking up wickets at any stage as well. The bowling attack for the Barbados Royals is quite good. The only issue is whether it will have enough runs to play with.

Jamaica Tallawahs
The Jamaica Tallawahs have taken the longer route to the CPL 2022 Final. They won the Eliminator and Qualifier 1, both times as underdogs, and will go into the Final as the underdog as well. The form shown by Shamarh Brooks in recent matches has been staggering and it is almost as if he has unlocked another level to his batting.
He, Rovman Powell, Raymon Reifer, and Brandon King will be the key batters for the Jamaica Tallawahs.
We have seen how valuable Imad Wasim, Mohammad Nabi, and Fabian Allen can also be with the bat. There is no shortage of power or depth in this batting lineup. We don't think it should be taken lightly.
The real strength of the Jamaica Tallawahs is its bowling attack. Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Nabi, Chris Green, and Fabian Allen are all experienced players. Amir and Imad in particular will be keen to showcase their ability to perform when it matters the most.
The Jamaica Tallawahs have a very dangerous lineup that is carrying real momentum with it.

Pitch and Conditions
The weather forecast for Guyana is quite good and we are hopeful there will be no rain to play spoilsport! There were nearly 400 runs scored in Qualifier 2 and another good batting surface could be likely for the CPL Final. The pitch at the Providence Stadium is slow by nature and there will always be something for the spinners. The power-hitters, though, can clear the small boundaries easily after getting set.
Matches here tend to be very high-scoring or very low-scoring. We hope to see another match where both teams get more than 160-170
