Barbados

Barbados is currently in the 2nd spot on the points table. While the team has once and won once, its last match against the Leeward Islands got washed away due to rain, and they shared points with their opponents.

Jonathan Carter, who was the top scorer for the team last season, has struggled so far this time around. Roston Chase has put up a splendid performance, scoring 143 runs and picking up 7 wickets in 3 games. While Brathwaite has struggled with the bat, Shai Hope, and Zachary McCaskie have been consistent at the top of the order.

Talking about the bowling, Roshon Primus and Ramon Simmonds have bowled well in patches, picking up 4 and 5 wickets respectively. 

Jamaica Scorpions

Jamaica hasn’t been consistent this season and has seen quite a few highs and lows. The team has lost 2 of the 3 matches it has played so far but did manage to beat Barbados in their previous encounter. As a result, the Scorpions are 3rd on the points table, trailing Barbados by 2 points.

Captain Rovman put up a great all-round performance in the match against Barbados, scoring 80 of 54 deliveries, and also picked up a wicket. He is the top scorer for his team so far, with an aggregate of 146 runs. Nkrumah Bonner has been pretty good at the top of the order. However, other than these two, none of the batsmen have managed to make an impact. Brendon King, Jermaine Blackwood, and Andre McCarthy have all been rather inconsistent.

The bowlers have done a much better job compared to the batsmen. Jeavor Royal and Dennis Bulli have both picked up 6 wickets each, while Jamie Merchant and Nicholson Gordon have provided them with good support.
