Comilla Victorians
The Comilla Victorians lost their 3 opening matches of the season and seemed to be headed for disaster. However, they have managed to turn things around completely and have now won each of their last 7 matches to book a spot in the knockout stages.
Just like their opponents, batting has been the biggest strength for the Victorians this season, with most of their batsmen doing well. Mohammad Rizwan has been very consistent, scoring 4 half-centuries in 8 innings, and is the leading scorer for the Victorians this season. Litton Das, Johnson Charles, and Imrul Kayes have provided him with good support and as a result, the Victorians have managed to chase down even stiff targets.
Khushdil Shah has been at his explosive best lower down the order, scoring important runs towards the end of the innings, and is also excellent with his left-arm orthodox spin, picking up 8 wickets so far. However, he, along with pacer Naseem Shah, will not be available for the remainder of the tournament, and in their absence, much of the wicket-taking responsibilities will rest on Tanvir Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman. Hasan Ali picked up 2 wickets in the last game and more will be expected from him going forward.
The management has brought in Abrar Ahmed as a specialist spinner and it will be interesting to see how he performs.

Barisal Bulls
The Fortune Barishal team started their campaign in style, winning 5 of their first 6 matches of the season. However, they have faltered a bit during the last couple of weeks, alternating between victories and losses in the last 4 matches.
Powered by Iftikhar Ahmed and Shakib Al Hasan, the batting has been one of the highlights for the Barishal team this season. Both have scored 347 runs so far and are two of the most consistent batsmen in this entire tournament. Anamul Haque to has done a decent job at the top of the order, helping the team with a couple of good starts. The other batsmen have chipped in, but not with the same level of consistency.
Karim Janat has emerged as a decent all-rounder, picking up 10 wickets and also scoring 139 runs at a rapid pace. More will be expected from the likes of Ibrahim Zadran, Mahmudullah, and Mehedi Hasan Miraz during the playoffs. The bowling however seems a bit weak at the moment as there has been no standout performer so far.
The Fortune Barishal is heavily dependent on their all-rounders to get them wickets and that is not necessarily a good thing, as the likes of Ebadot Hossain, Khaled Ahmed, and Mohammad Wasim Jr. have found it difficult to pick up wickets at regular intervals.

Pitch and Conditions
The Sher E Bangla Stadium has a flat surface and is excellent to bat on. While the quicker bowlers will find some movement at the start of the match, it will get easier to bat on as the game progresses. The average first-innings score here is around 165 which can be considered to be a par score.
As this is a D/N affair, the bowlers will find it a bit difficult to grip the ball due to the dew, making it easier to chase under the lights. The weather is expected to be clear with no chance of rain and temperatures ranging from 22-27 degrees Celsius.
