India
India's fast bowling has been very good in this series making it an even more dangerous side than usual. Mohammad Siraj has the most wickets during the powerplay in ODI cricket since 2022 and that has made a huge difference. It helps the other fast bowlers and also the spinners, since they come in and bowl when the batters are already under pressure.
Mohammad Shami and Shardul Thakur bowled beautifully in the previous match as well. With Umran Malik waiting in the wings, India may give one of Shami or Siraj a break in this match.
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill have been extremely prolific and consistent as a pair. Not only have both of them scored runs in most matches but they have also managed to mitigate the new ball without any trouble. Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, and Hardik Pandya form a very strong batting lineup with Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur capable of batting as well.
In home conditions and in its current form, this Indian team is going to be tough to stop.

New Zealand
New Zealand has not been blanked by India in an ODI series for quite some time and we think the visitors will be keen to get at least one match going their way. They cannot really blame the surfaces for their troubles as the pitches have been quite excellent for batting.
The same is expected in this match and so the onus will be on the batters. Maybe with the series already having been lost, the New Zealand batters will come out and play with freedom. Finn Allen and DevonConway are so important to the New Zealand lineup because they set the tone.
So far, though, the top order has struggled and the runs have come from the lower middle order. Glenn Phillips, Michael Bracewell, and Mitchell Santner have been the three best batters for New Zealand. While that shows the brilliant depth, it also shows the problems that the top order has had.
New Zealand is without Boult and Southee for this series and the backup bowlers have struggled. Lockie Ferguson, Henry Shipley, and Blair Tickner have not been anywhere as good or dangerous as their Indian fast-bowling counterparts.
Michael Bracewell and Mitch Santner are the pick of the bowlers but they need more runs to defend.
