After over a week of former cricketers playing splendid cricket, we are nearing the end of yet another nostalgic tournament. India Legends won the Road Safety series and a similarly named team will be looking to take the title. Before they do that though, they'll need to get out of the league stage first.
Up next in the tournament, India Capitals are set to take on Manipal Tigers in what will be the last league game of the tournament. The points table is already decided and this match will pretty much be a dead rubber. The match is to be played on October 1st 2022 at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium, Jodhpur.
India Capitals may have struggled in the initial part of the tournament but they were fantastic as the league stage was just about ending. They have already qualified for the next round but a win here will ensure their top of the table finish.
As it currently stands as well, they are placed at the top of the table with three wins from five matches. They have seven points to their name along with an excellent net run-rate of 1.293.
The Capitals are coming off an exceptional win in their previous match, which too was against the Manipal Tigers. They have an immaculately balanced side that has performed pretty well so far. If they can do that once again, getting past them would prove to be very difficult.

Manipal Tigers have had a poor tournament so far and are already out of contention to qualify for the next round. Even a win here will take them a spot above on the ladder and that is not going to be enough to push them through. Their recent loss at the hands of India Capitals really spoiled their plans and the best they can now do is to end their campaign on a high.
As it currently stands on the points table, they are placed fourth with three points to their name and just one match to go. They have won just one out of a total of five games played and have a terrible net run-rate of -0.607.
Manipal Tigers have a pretty good side on paper but they just haven't fired as well as would have wanted to. The execution has been missing and the same was the case in their last match as well. They would need their experienced players to do well and unless that happens, they will find it difficult to take on an experienced side like India Capitals.

This is a dead-rubber but both sides will want to come out on the top here. A win here will not make any difference whatsoever to any team's fortunes and both sides will know that. Having said that, India Capitals will want to go into the grand finale with a win behind their back whereas Manipal Tigers will want to bid adieu with a win. Considering all that has happened in the tournament so far and the combination of the two sides, a bet on India Capitals should be the way to go here.
