India Women

India has a tough squad to face the Aussies and have won four out of their last five matches, so the form is solid. Great players like Harmanpreet Kaur (captain), Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Deepti Sharma will all be making an appearance in the five-game series to help their side.

Smriti Mandhana will be exciting to watch and is poised to put on a great batting show, as she’s already picked up 2,437 runs with an average of 27.38 across 98 innings in her T20I career. If India are to win, it’ll almost certainly be through her batting. Jemimah Rodrigues is in fine form, too, raking in 1,490 runs with an average of 31.70 over 57 innings.

We’re more than thrilled to see how Deepti Sharma (81 wickets in 76 innings) and Rajeshwari Gayakwad (54 wickets in 43 innings) will perform on the bowling end, as both are some of the best and fiercest bowlers on the India squad. They could certainly turn the tide by limiting the Aussie batters from getting any shot they want.

Australia Women

Australia is sending a great squad to India for the T20 tour, with big WBBL names such as Alyssa Healy (captain), Ashleigh Gardner, Heather Graham, and Beth Mooney, to list a few.

Mooney, in particular, has been excellent in her T20I career, posting total runs of 1,893 with an average of 37.86 across 65 innings. She’ll be very important in the lineup and her experience here is hugely valuable. Heather Graham was simply sublime in the WBBL but only has one game on the T20I stage, so we’ll have to see how she performs.

Much of the bowling focus will be on Jess Jonassen (87 wickets in 90 innings) and Megan Schutt (108 wickets in 83 innings), but be sure to watch out for spinner Alana King, who already has 14 wickets in 11 innings for her T20I career.
