While the Tallawahs are still placed pretty on the points table and in terms of qualification scenarios, a loss here will put them in a bit of spot of bother. As it currently stands, they are placed at the second spot with four points from three matches. They also have a net run-rate of 0.854, which just demonstrates how good they have been.
Jamaica Tallawahs have a pretty good side on paper as well with all bases covered. They lacked execution in the previous match and will want to get that right here. If they are able to do that against the Knight Riders here in this match, they should be in business big time.

Trinbago Knight Riders
Trinbago Knight Riders have been one of the most successful sides over the years in the history of the competition and will want nothing less than a title this time as well. They haven't gotten off to the kind of start they would have wanted but are still pretty much in it to make amends and move forward.
On the points table at the moment, they are placed at the fourth spot with just one win from three matches. The good thing for them is that they have lost only one game with the third one being washed out due to rain. Thanks to that one point, a win here will push them directly to the second spot and that is exactly what they will be aiming for.
As apparent from their pretty poor net run-rate of -2.5, the Trinbago Knight Riders have a lot of work to do. On paper, they have one of the most experienced sides of the competition but they have been dismal on the field. The likes of Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Tim Seifert, and Andre Russell will all need to step up here for TKR to do well. If that happens, the Jamaica Tallawahs will have their work cut out.

Pitch and Conditions
It has rained quite a bit here at Gros Islet in the last few days and we have seen an impact of that on the surface as well. It hasn't been easy to hit through the line with the ball not bouncing as much. Having said that, batsmen once set will really enjoy batting here. Offering reasonably sized boundaries, the venue has something for the bowlers as well as for the batsmen.
