They also crashed out of the semifinals in the Asia Cup, losing against Sri Lanka.
However, the series against Ireland provides them with the perfect opportunity to redeem themselves. Opener Muneeba Ali is the top scorer on the team with 299 runs from 16 T20 matches. Nida Dar has been great lower down the order, scoring 281 runs at an incredible average of more than 70 runs. She has also picked up 11 wickets and is among the top wicket-takers in the team.
Captain Bismah Mahroof too has played quite a few handy knocks. Sidra Ameen was exceptional in the recently concluded ODI series, scoring 277 runs from 3 innings, which included an incredible 176-run innings in the first match. Tuba Hassan and Omaima Sohail will be the two bowlers to watch out for.

Gaby Lewis has performed well in the T20s this year, scoring an aggregate of 302 runs. Captain Laura Delany has been good with both, the bat as well as the ball, and will be hoping to put up a winning performance here. Orla Prendergast has played well in the middle order and is known to score at a rapid pace. Arlene Kelly is the top wicket-taker for Ireland in the T20s this year.
However, other than her and Delany, none of the bowlers have managed to have a significant impact on the opposition.
