Pretoria Capitals

Pretoria Capitals were propelled by a brilliant inning from Phil Salt at the top of the order who scored 77 from 47 balls without being dismissed. He did not get much support from the rest of the batters until Jimmy Neesham walked in at number 7. Neesham's 37 from 28 and Parnells 29 from 9 helped boost the score to what was eventually a winning total. 

We spoke about this all-round depth that the Capitals have in their lineup that can be very crucial in close matches. 

The Pretoria Capitals have a strong batting lineup and although players like Will Jacks, Rilee Rossouw, Theunis de Bruyne, and Senuram Muthusamy may not have scored in the previous match, they should not be counted out. 

The bowling lineup for the Capitals was very good. Ethan Bosch looks likely to be a part of the South African setup sooner rather than later and helps add quality to the bowling unit that already has Anrich Nortje and Wayne Parnell. Nortje's pace was tough to handle and proved too difficult for the Sunrisers in the previous match. 

Adil Rashid may have gone for some runs but he is also a proven player that we expect to bounce back strongly. 

Sunrisers Eastern Cape

Sunrisers Eastern Cape did a lot of things well in their previous match but was found to be a bit lacking in quality. Sisanda Magala and Otneil Baartman were impressive with the ball and were in fact the pick of the bowlers. Marco Jansen and Mason Crane did not have the best outing for their teams but Aiden Markram stepped up and picked two wickets with his part-time off-spin. 

Overall, the Sunrisers have a bowling attack that can adjust to the opposition and put up a pretty decent show. This is not the area that the Sunrisers will be most concerned with. 

The batting is where the Sunrisers Eastern Cape is a bit vulnerable. JJ Smuts played very well for his 66 and there were some good contributions from Tom Abell and James Fuller later in the match. Tristan Stubbs looked good also for the duration that he was in and could be a game-changer. 

Sarel Erwee, Jordan Cox, and Aiden Markram all looked a bit short on confidence and perhaps cricket. This is the core of their top order and the SUnrisers would be keen to see them in form as well.
