They have been the ones that the captain has turned to at different times and both players have delivered. Fortuin opens the bowling and picks up wickets in the powerplay while Jones is brilliant at the death.
We still have to see the best of Lungi Nagidi and Tabraiz Shamsi this season but the Paarl Royals do have a strong bowling attack. Marco Jansen has been a revelation with the bat in SA 20 and carried the Sunrisers over the line in the previous match. His assault on Rashid Khan will probably go down in the tournament's folklore.
The Sunrisers seem to be a team that is currently playing a bit above its level. The batting lineup is struggling and apart from Aiden Markram, none of the major batters seem to be in form. JJ Smuts is struggling to recreate his heroics in the opening match, Adam Rossington has not really worked out at the top of the order, and Sarel Erwee is struggling to find the right tempo also.
Tristan Stubbs is so promising down the order because of his big-hitting abilities and while we have seen glimpses, we still have to see the best of him as well. The Sunrisers have some promising players in their lineup but their recent performances have not been the most encouraging.
Marco Jansen is turning into a genuine all-rounder and is not going to be taken lightly with the bat at all. With the ball, he can expect some help from Sisanda Magala (back in the South African side) and Roelof van der Merwe in this match.
