QSL vs TSC Match Prediction - Sep 30, 2022

Tasmania announced their candidature for the Marsh Cup 2022-23 in style as they rampaged past South Australia Redbacks in what was the opening game for both those sides. These are early days in the tournament and they'll want to add to their solid start going forward. Up next in the tournament, they are set to take on Queensland in an important match.

The two sides have had contrasting starts respectively and will come in with different reasons to give their best. Tasmania would want to build on their solid start to maintain their supremacy on the ladder whereas Queensland will be desperate to taste success. The match between the two sides is to be played on 30th September 2022 at Allan Border Field, Brisbane.

QSL vs TSC Team Previews

Queensland

Queensland were once one of the most consistent sides in the Australian domestic circuit but they haven't really been as successful recently. It's the same in the Marsh Cup as well as they lost handsomely in their opening game of the tournament. They will now be looking to shrug that off and bounce back with a win here in this match.

They currently sit at the bottom of the points table, having won zero match so far. They also have a poor net run-rate of -1.220, which just shows how well they were outplayed in the previous match. A win here may well push them to the third spot, provided the rest of the results go their way.

Coincidentally, Queensland too played their first match against the Redbacks. Chasing a total of 278, they were never in the game as they kept losing the wickets at regular intervals. They eventually ended up having 217 to their name, losing the match by a big margin. Most of their batsmen got starts but none of them actually managed to contribute big and this is the area they would want to improve in this upcoming match. If they can do that, getting past them could prove to be a very difficult task.

Tasmania

Tasmania started their campaign as the underdogs but were so good in their opening match that they can be the dark horses of the tournament. They started off with a superb win over South Australia Redbacks and will be looking to continue building on that. It was a terrific job by their batsmen and bowlers alike as they defeated the Redbacks with utter ease.

While it is pretty early in the tournament to talk about standings, Tasmanian Tigers will be happy to be at the top of the table at the moment. They have five points to their name along with a stupendous net run-rate of 2.331. A loss here might push them lower on the ladder and that is exactly what they won't want.

Bowling first on a super surface, Tasmania did just what was needed. They picked up early wickets, thanks to their bowlers bowling in tight channels, and were able to keep the Redbacks to a sub-par total. Chasing 220, Ben McDermott and Caleb Jewell just imposed themselves on the opponents, combining for 198 runs for the first wicket. The Tigers eventually sealed the deal with over 16 overs to spare, having eight wickets in their hands.

All in all, the Tigers may not have star players at their disposal, they certainly have the strength to take on even the best. They exhibited that in the last match and will be confident of repeating that. If they are able to play to their potential in this upcoming match as well, Queensland will have their work cut out.

QSL vs TSC Betting Tips

This match is an excellent opportunity for Tasmania to gather early momentum in the tournament and solidify their position at the top of the ladder. Queensland though will want to get back to the winning ways as soon as possible as another loss here will make things difficult for them. While the two sides are pretty much matched on paper, Tasmania look ahead on form considering how the two sides have done so far in the competition. For that and the other reasons stated above, a bet on Tasmania Tigers should be the way to go here.
